Quit giving them an easy ride and they will leave!

Im not much for excuses, and have been called blunt and occassionally cold hearted.

Sometimes that is what is needed and IMO this is one of those times!

You might call me an asshole, the devil, or cold-blooded, but if I was in charge of illegal immigration, at the end of two years. You would say problem solved!drinker drinker

Im not just talking about being rough on the illegal immigrants either>
The ones hiring them are despicable and should pay a heavy price for their anti-American practices!

Then fanta...you need to change the government too. They are doing the inviting. Many are doing the hiring. Cutting their own throats by going along with this. I am also for LEAGL immigrants. But, in favor of fixing this problem. It will be felt across this country. It has to be.
I want to know where the fairness is in having a lottery when thousands have been waiting in the so called line to get their legal status? When someone has been here 11 years and is pushed back because a new one on the street gets the lucky lottery?
I even read where they are going to make the numbers higher for legalization. Well, okay then; but how long is this going to take? 16 years? If you are going to invite immigrants here, make it quicker. They must be faithful and law abiding. This means no tickets as well. How many can say they have never had a ticket?

For those that don't see any laws being broke by illegals being here, does that mean 12-20 million U.S citizens should go across the Mexican border without the proper documents and not have anything done to them?

What the ****, excuse my French, do you think Ive been doing for 15 yrs?

It takes more than me, and our numbers are growing!
State by State!!!

My State, NC, is training Deputys to act as INS, they are coming back from training and it is beginning to make a difference!

I have campaigned to put one incumbant out of office, (Charles Taylor) and Elisabeth Dole is in my sights next!

I dont just sit around *****ing!!!!

Well you don't have to yell! Potty mouth.
I do the same. I don't just twiddle my fingers. I get active.
My state,(which has the harshest law) isn't training too many. Tulsa is though. But, we need more cops on our streets to keep protecting us from us. They are trying to take them and train them to do other jobs. Taking our lawmen and women off the streets and working for ICE. We are already short handed in law enforcement.
Getting involved in government isn't just you or me. It is the world. And you know as well as I; that many just talk. Lets see where talk gets us? I know where: we need a brush hog in the whitehouse. It's still growing in there. We haven't won that war yet.
We lost control years ago. Now we are soft and jiggle around the truth. Americans are so used to being lead around by the nose. We are just now waking up from that deep slumber. Hopefully, more will activate and get motivated into action.

I want to know where the fairness is in having a lottery when thousands have been waiting in the so called line to get their legal status?

If you hire someone to work for you, and you have only one position, with 200 people applying.
Who do you pick? The most qualified or the one that has been waiting longer?

gdr441,
Cubans in Florida are political refugees, not illegal immigrants!
You my young friend are Mexican "American."
Your father is a veteran!
You and your family has paid a price standing beside him. Have you not?

Why are you so eager to give America away!

It is VERY hard to become legal. I have a thread started over there....somewhere, called getting legal.

Kat
Oh...I can spell very well, but I tend to type too fast and miss and hit keys. Soooo, it sometimes is only fumbling fingers that are the culprit. I know you were not talking about me.
Kat

maybe it would not be so hard to be legal if not for so many illegals jumping to the head of the line

and dragoness if i steal all you stuff an money and give it to charity does that make it right

To feel the hatred and to call it is not calling the poster anything it is calling the action racist. I will reiterate for those who take it as name calling. I feel that the isolation of a certain type of people, taking the humanity from them and referring to them as less than animals to promote others to view them as less and undeserving of human consideration a racist act. I cannot call the posters racist because I do not know them but the action of referring to illegals as though they are less than us can be seen as a racist/prejudice act. Whether the poster knows they are perpetrating a racist act or not is only known to the poster, I cannot call that. Again I will say I am not calling names because I do not know the poster I am calling the action of portraying illegals as criminals deserving of less humanity than any other human an act of prejudice.

Fanta...I was speaking of the lottery of immigrants. This lottery is a drawing of names. It is not in my opinion fair in the least, to those that have been waiting for their status. Possibly many years longer than the lucky one whose name was drawn.

That man did not have to stop to help the boy. He sacrificed his own situation for the good of a child. He was illegal, yes, but he could have kept walking and maybe that boy would have died in the desert. His humanity and concern for another human being triumphed over his own desire to find a new life. He knew what he was risking when he stopped to help the boy. I do NOT condone illegal immigration. This is a human interest story.
The TOPIC was a story of how one man saved a child's life, at a very traumatic time for the child. Why has it be turned into yet another debate on illegal immigration? We have other threads for that. JMO

The Green Card lottery has limitations.
You cannot enter it if you are from Russia, China or United Kingdom
However if you are born in Northern Ireland, which is in the UK, you can still enter.

So its not free for all to enter.

But the whole point of member of the human race is paramount.

You dont actually own the land you live on, its only on lease to you.

So the freedom to live anywhere without persecution or continual harassment has to be a fundamental human right.
