(So it's inspired by several different people.)
-Butterfly Infect- You perfect wilted nothing That harmless look in your eye; the changing whim that you chase; belie that flawless face with your rotten-seamed soul. Pushed into this rut; yeah, it’s a pain in the gut You know you’re better now you’ve gotta get out but you don’t know how They keep you drugged so numb, to keep you under their thumb Float by on a summer breeze just like another disease, just like an echo unseen, another face in a dream It’s so pretty when you fly, why can’t you fly to me? It’s so ugly when you die, why can’t you die with me? Hold you close and you die away You fall away from me You’re so elegant as you flutter through the gutter; if I talk to you, I choke and sputter I see butterflies land on sh*t all the time, it doesn’t lower the one or elevate another Lit up so bright, you can’t see a thing; you just float by the world in your synthetic disease You float by like a butterfly, out of my reach But when I hold you close, you up and die away You’re so pretty on the inside – can’t you fly to me? It’s so ugly when you die – why can’t you die with me? It’s so hard to dissect the way that you infect; I lost so much respect for me It’s always what you can’t have that you think you need; It’s all the pretty nothings that’ll make you bleed It’s always something in my head that lets me be deceived You’re so elegant as you flutter through the gutter; if I talk to you, I choke and sputter I see butterflies land on sh*t all the time, it doesn’t lower the one or elevate another Lit up so bright, you can’t see a thing; you just float by the world in your synthetic disease You perfect wilted nothing |

"It’s always something in my head that lets me be deceived
Lit up so bright, you can’t see a thing; you just float by the world in your synthetic disease You perfect wilted nothing" Amazing how many people would be able to recognize this in another in a heart beat, but miss it in themselves for a life time..... TM |
