Okay we know of them... we read about them.... we love them...and yeah sometimes we hate them too...

Some are extroverts, some introverts, some resort to methods of cutting off body parts...noway grumble But we all as individuals have temperments that we for ourselves are comfortable with....buttttttttttttttt........

How would one "not" familiar with the love, lifestyle and passions that an artist thrives upon, approach a relationship with.... an artist???

Any advice for the relationship as in dating??
Any advice for living together with an artist??

Nice indeed....

Anyone else with any "specifics" on 'artists' who might need more 'understanding'?

Come on People.....

put your thinking caps on!!!!!!

Artists are eccentric , temperamental , fanatics it is their jobs to think outside the box compared to the likes of a normal every day "joe scmho" worker drone , some of histories greatest thinkers were and are Artists .

every thing from great sculptures to writing.

If You can handle their eccentricity in a relationship they can share a wonderful world with an individual that is in touch with their inner feeling Artists are definitely communicators and people oriented.

Creative people, are people too.

Perhaps known to be more expressive, more passionate, more of everything...

And that's the joyful part.

Acceptance of another human being, no matter where their talents lie, is the first rule of any relationship.
No expectations, and no movie in your head of how you want it to look.

The same rules apply for any relationship.

Just allow them to be who they are..

flowerforyou bigsmile

To some extent creative people are Artists too.

What would life be like living with some one who is a professional Artist Yokoke......Your guess is as good as mine

one thing is guaranteed ......I'm sure there is never a dull moment laugh if you ever have time rent a movie called "Pollock" with Ed Harris laugh

the down side of an Artist is they seem to take things to extremes and at what cost??? what affect does this have on others around them? one thing is for sure Artists need room and having that special some one in their life they can relate with makes them flourish even more , Artist need to feed the relationship also it is give and take .......not all take.

Thanks for the movie recommendation, I'll check it out...

So structure, yet freedom.

Well cutting an ear off is extreme....noway grumble

I like the idea of room for growth, I think that is good in any relationship...

Give and Take, 50/50....

Thanks Quakers....

It is important for Artist to be grounded yet feel like they don't need a baby sitter it's a fine line that makes life exciting.laugh

Another awesome movie to rent concerning Artists is "The Agony and the Ecstasy " starring Charlton Heston as the great "Michelangelo".laugh

I've spent a lifetime on music and writing, and, in my experience, the only person who has any chance of clicking with me is another artistic type. I know there are some creative types who are more comfortable with someone "stable" and "down-to-earth," as a sort of counterbalance, but I've tried that, and those types bore me to tears.

They do sometimes make good character models for future stories, though....
