I remember when I used punch cards for a computer.

was an Etch-a-Sketch. |

I remember upgrading my Sharp electronic organiser of 32 KB, to a Casio with a huge 64 KB memory; You'd never fill that !
And I programmed automatic lathes using punch tape, or peg boards, before Numerical Control. |

I remembered when they first started computerizing everything and it would only take my birthday on leap years and wouldn't accept it the other 3 years because there was no Feb 29th

I remember when one could use a machine at a store to test vacuum tubes from TV sets to see if the vacuum tubes were still working.

I remember when a tv had no remote control. I remember that "no remote control for the tv" was why some people had children at all: make a small replica of yourself that responds to shouts and threats, who will crawl to the TV and turn the knobs for you. I remember how the first remote controls had no batteries, because they were actually made with little tuning forks and tiny hammers. |

I remember using a dep tank to explore my mind.
I actually put myself in such a state that I could remember before I was born. Its more of a memory sensation than a regular memory. I also remember the room was really cold (and bright) when I came out. I also remember I slept in the top dresser drawer when I was an infant. I found out that nearly everyone has these early memory sensations but they choose not to go there. |

I remember using old phones: wind its handle 5 times then pick up the handset, and wait for the operator, who asked what area and what number. The number had 3 digits.
And I remember as a baby the first time I got water in my bottle instead of milk. What a ripoff that was. |

What a ripoff that was. oops not quite that old but i do remember only needing to dial 5 digits for an in town call and counting the rings because we were on a partyline |
