| Topic: The Wiccan Rede: Holy Law or Advice? | |

Its both a holy law AND great advice if you ask me. I've been following is for about 10 years now.. Blessed Be! May I ask you what makes it a Holy Law? I've always felt its one of those things that you just call a given, no matter what religion a person is (Pagan here), its basically the golden rule. Personally, I use it as a holy law, I follow it in my beliefs and my everyday life. So what would you say to a fellow Pagan who doesn't follow what you consider to be a Holy Law? Would you consider such a Pagan as a bad person who practices "dark" arts? Absolutely not, each person has their own personal laws. True magik, as we both know is neither black nor white. I wouldn't judge a fellow pagan b/c they saw things differntly. Wouldnt' that make me just as bad as the christians who want to burn me at the stake for proudly wearing a pentacle? |

You know what always gets me? People never can realize that no matter what "God" you worship, whether it be the Christian God, Buddha, The Goddess, Mother Earth, Allah, F'n whatever, it's all the same thing. Everyone gets all offended and **** because people contradict what they believe in. You know what? It's all the same thing. Divine substance is Divine substance. There is one all powerful force in our universe, and it doesn't care what you label it. It makes absolutely no difference. I guess that's all I'll say for now. If you want me to take you farther down the "Rabbit hole" I will. Peace be with you all.

Fellow Wiccans? really? I'm not a Wiccan. I'm a Pagan and a Witch. I'm not technically "full" Wiccan....I follow Wicca for the most part but also have some of my own beliefs...therefore i'm sort of my own thing here....It's really hard to explain but for the most part i consider myself Wiccan Then I guess it's say to assume you are an Eclectic Pagan then. lol see, when you say it like that it makes it sound like i'm a half as* and i want the world to revolve around me....and that's not what it's about..... I meant no offence. The term Eclectic Pagan, to me, is just a term that describes a Pagan that doesn't follow any one belief system or philosophy, but rather from many different belief systems or philosophies. |

ok, now we're on the same page.....yeah, i can agree with that....i just don't want people thinking i don't truly believe what i say i do. i take my beliefs very seriously....

My best friend is a devout christian. We have religious conversations all the time and it always leads back to the same thing....God is God is God.....No matter what you believe in, believe in it....it all falls into place in the end as long as you love it in your heart. |

I'm not pointing any fingers, Josh. I'm just saying. Personally I'm getting tired of the whole "Christians verses Non-Christians" war that seems to go on and on around here. It needs to stop. Poking at caged animals is not a wise thing to do. Going into a thread that you truely have no interest in just to stir up trouble isn't wise either. It's kind of like that Law of three we're discussing here... stir up trouble with someone or a group of people it's going to come back on you... right? |

like i said before.....my best friend is a christian.....i try to get along with everybody....if someone starts trying to pick a fight with me i just stop posting on that thread....i don't see the point of childish bickering.....i don't have the energy for it anymore....

I didn't do anything mean, I just fixed that thing to what I felt it should read. I knew it'd probably make a few people mad, but so will any thread thats not reading exactly as any given person wants it to.

I think some of you took what I said the wrong way, or thought I meant something that I didn't. I'm not a Christian. I really don't know what I am. But, it really doesn't matter anyway. Labels serve no one.
