when i send out a message, whether it be on myspace or another dating site, and now here, i dont get any replies, what am i doing wrong? and what is a good message to send out?

I try to answer the messages I get but I really don't like getting messages from someone I haven't seen on the forum and read the way they play first on the forums. I don't know if that helps. Welcome

or

Hi, we seem to have some things in common and I think we just might enjoy each others conversation. Check out my profile and let me know what you think.

By giving people the option to write back, it might make them feel more comfortable, and us women like to feel we're in control, which we are.

I always had problems getting conversations started when I was younger, and therefore got very few dates. The panic was unbearable. Now after all of these years and all of this life experience, I can assure you it's no better. Heck, I can whip up a three page essay or a witty blog in minutes, but talk to a woman? Online? With keyboards, monitors and miles of cable between us?
Nope, still suck at it.
