He needs time for what? Either you are engaged or your not, its really that simple!! I would tell him that he really needs to tell his parents. Have you even met his parents? I would not let anyone keep me hid..that is just playing games and I do not have time to play games. He really needs to step it up or you need to kick his a$$ to the curb!!
