i get emails but those were earlier, my email says i am getting them now but nothing, is the mail system lagging or on holiday?

sometimes theres a delay in your emails elsewhere and you actually get them here faster but your regular email has a brain fart and then remembers oh yeah you got jsh mail

Does this system ever lose mail or just stop delivering new mail? I haven't received a message since 11/17, and it won't let me email myself to check if it works.
