LOVE the original movies....pretty much HATED the new three. I mean, yeah....each had cool moments, but even those moments put together couldn't make ONE entertaining film....and on their own couldn't raise those three new STAR WARS movies farther than the Badly Written/Acted/CGI wankfests they turned out to be.

We were just expecting the second coming with the prequel saga.

I was 9 when the first one came out, it totally blew me away and I don't think I've ever felt that way about a movie since. I thought the final 3 were ok, effects were great, but overall, just really not that good.

But, yeah, you're right BR, my expectations were so high, I don't think it was possible to meet them.

Yeah, me too, I was expecting the meaning of life and the second coming of Christ, and just about everything else. My son, however, loved it. But, he'd only seen the first 3 on video, I think he loves the second set more.

I still remember the feeling I had when Darth Vader appeared the first time, he scared me to death then and I still think he's one of the scariest characters ever.

Well I took Ep 1 for what it was..the beginning of a new story, the only part that really made me grumble was that midichlorin crap..WTH!! The Force is just supposed to be..not be explained why it's there.

Don't forget about lil' anakin taking out the Trade Fed.'s control ship. That was a bad idea.

I think Lucas thought he had a real winner for the younger kids there. But everyone hated him. He nearly ruined the movie.

If there was any justice in the world, He would have been killed by Palpatine or someone like that.

I think Jar Jar should have been thrown into the Sarlacc pit and THEN the Rancor and then be made to sleep with Jabba.If that's not gonna make that gungan kill himself, I don't know what will.

Maybe Vader will kill him in the show coming out later on.
