Perhaps you're sending the wrong signals, try to be a little more open, smile, talk, make eye contact, etc. Don't worry about what people think, just enjoy the moment.

My take as a shyish guy.Find something you LOVE,that you can't stop talking about no matter what.Find a guy that's interested in that.And I'm sure there's a good guy out there just waiting to speak with you sometime.Take it slow and build from there.

perception is a funny thing. People used to think I had everything easy, I did well in school without trying, I was personable with my friends, had good family the whole nine. But I've always had certain things I was self conscious about which made me shy around girls.

I have another friend whom I always envied a little, big guy, most girls thought he was attractive, very outgoing etc. We talked one night and it turned out he envied somethings about me, and I him.

In short, perception is very rarely reality. You see a lot of people out there who look like they have everything going for them and you start to question yourself, but don't forget that everyone has strengths and weaknesses. So have some confidence and rejoice in your strengths.

my boyfriend was very shy quiet and reseved when I first meet him, for some people it's a turn on...quiet men are more mysterious so I took the time to get to know him just becaue he was shy quiet and mysterious!

That's nice, I just come off as awkward, unintelligible or mute. When I want to look mysterious I put on a ninja mask and hide in the bushes. I wonder, do girls like the silent but deadly shinobi types?
