I find reigning in my sarcasm if often advisable. A busted lip often makes messes of my suede shoes.

The way I look at it ,.everyone has a particular goal or outcome in mind when launching any form of communication whether it be to get your frustrations out, put somenody down , open someone's mind to something new, get someone to understand you as a person, coax someone into assisting you with something etc.
If your goal in your communication is to put people down, vent your frustrations or push people away, then no editing is required. But for goals like opening up someone's mind to a different point of view, edifying someone or getting someone to understand you as a petson, I find that self-editing is mandatory. |

Do you edit yourself. Or do you just go with the first thing that comes out of your mouth.. And let the chips fall where they may.. Are you find yourself thinking maybe I should put it in the way they may better understand... Personally doing that makes me feel like I'm altering Who I Really Am.. For instance... if I was to say.. thinking on you long and hard.. One person might perceive it as a sweet sentiment.. Another person may perceive it as some perverted off colored indawindo.. in da window..lol.. Now at that point I feel the need to.. Self edit.. but then I realize that person just doesn't get it.... or do you really need to self edit yourself... For the people around you and in your life.... I have no filter but sometimes I think that's good... but other times I begin to wonder...lol I got my own editor, and two final line editors... I can tell you it can get really annoying, lol. That is of course about my book that will be released soon. Personally... depends. With people who resonate with me I find I don't need to adept, with others, yeah. At the moment I seem to be going through a phase where ppl don't get me. On my forum it's like a pack of wolves digging their teeth in anything I say. And I'm only enthusiastically telling about things I'm going through, nothing to do with them. So at the mo not really active on my own forum. My own forum, go figure, lol. I tend to avoid ppl who systematically don't get me. What's the point? If it happens occasionally, fair enough. Then I clarify. |

I edit sometimes becouse I think of something more to say ... or I need to spell ck a word ... I may have missed spelled ... so I edit ... and search if they can give the right spelling ... or to make sure what word I mean is ... the meaning I think it is ... but I mainly say what I mean ... such a gift to have lol I am to blunt sometimes ... which makes for a lot of friends ...Not! and some say... how is that working for you lol |
