i keep getting chicks that want my email or to text. but they dont seem like bots. so my question is, whats really going on?

Scammers want to get you off site. Just report them and block

Never leave the site. Anything could happen. Besides getting scammed, it's very easy to get your computer infected. Ask for a phone number. If they can't give you a number that is at least somewhat local to you, RUN! Even if it's a cell number you can at least check the area code.

yeah and thats another thing. some of them do offer up their numbers. but then i just assume its another scam.

A cell phone area code doesn't mean anything. People move. I bought my cell phone really far away from where I live. Well, It's worked for me several times. One told me she was about 40 miles from me and gave me the name of the town. But, when I checked her cell number it came back as being in another country altogether. She might have been legit. But at the same time, I caught her in a lie. That was good enough for me.

There are apps/websites available where you can choose a phone number. Text or call from the app/website and it shows up as the chosen area code and number (which can be anywhere), not the actual area code/phone number of the phone. They're free too. Cheaper than a "burner" phone. so my question is, whats really going on? It doesn't matter until you meet in person.

If you ever get asked to meet in a dark alley, with 40 feet of hot wheels track,a stock prod, and an ice cream scoop. And wearing only a jock strap.... Don't do it.

Easy peasy stay on site til you know them well and keep your wallet and private info in your wallet and wallet in pocket. Hell Pancho didnt have my real last name for about 6 months we didnt go off site for 3.

ask questions only some one local would know. ask about streets , restaurants etc. treat every one with suspicion until you meet in person

In this case there is a real person - a salesman (can be a dude most likely) - behind the scenes, who's trying to hook you up to another (malicious) dating or a cam-site (online porn) where you have to pay for a membership, if you wanna chat with those girls. Or your mailbox will be flooded with pornographyc crap of any kind .. and you won't be able to get rid of it any more ..
