for those out there with the delete finger, i got my topic deleted which was "a dog's breakfast." i was told it was derogatory, and offensive, and that it related to a group of people, that is sex, gender, or sexual orientation, and any further nonsense of this kind was grounds for suspending or banning permanently?

this was a true story about a 75 lb dobie that made himself sick by eating cat snot.

so i ask you in the name of insanity, how can you get something derogatory, and offensive out of true information, because dogs are notorious for eating things that i mentioned above.

Thread deletion is so... wacky here. Some threads are completely offensive and violate the stated rules and nothing happens to them. Some threads get deleted for no real obvious reason and with no rule having been broken.

Not so much censorship as senselessness.

Makes me wonder what the moderators put for "last grade completed" when filling out their applications. Oh, maybe they didn't have to apply to become moderators....maybe it was determined by who could blow the biggest bubble........

I saw your thread there is nothing wrong. Was it a mod or users that deleted it . It appears we have a system on here where users bvote and the topic os gone. This is not acceptable.
Did someone at least email you the reason why?

I think the person who starts the deletion and those who vote for deletion should be displayed in the deletion box. I have a feeling it is probably the same people.

Don't feel bad. I had one deleted that merely stated an actual news stroy where an angry girlfriend fatally shot her boyfried who managed, before he died, to get the gun away from her and kill her, too. Some people's sensibilities are a bit slanted.

Amen, bored! Good suggestion. Make the deleters accountable for their decision to delete, as well as for their juvenille threats such as those issued Duffy. This is soooooo wrong!! This is going beyond censorship to an all out violation of ones constitutional rights. Perhaps we need to consider taking this to a higher authoritative level. Are the violations we are enduring currently something that could potentially result in a law suit of some sort?? Maybe.......could be worth looking into if it continues to go down like this............

I also noticed something else. Whet determines if a thread gets the review for delete box? Some have it and others don;t liek this one. That is very odd. How is everyone today?

I sometimes wonder if the threads in the top 5 are deleted by lazy and bored members looking for a quick fix and not willing to dig into the forums beyond the front page.

All too often, the posters in the top 5 on the front page are different animals than the gourmets in the field of threads found in the main forum.

But then again, I may be delusional and skeeeeered of controversy!!!!!

lily I agree! I think the mods on the site should take more into consideration on this because they don't want anyone going constitutional on 'em hate nonsensical deleters
