cMNi Breakthru! Spokesperson from Pioneer/BASF Laboratories has announced IsoFilm.
This flexible spray can be used to isolate MN effects on a variety of surfaces including liquids and some gasses. With its low cost and adaptive materials we will see wide-spread use within the year. As you already know, Sandia National Laboratories developed the Mass Nullification Field during the mid 21st century. Over the 72 years of testing; Twice, Thrice and Quatra elements were made from Core Elements and are now in wide use around the globe. The main problem with MN technology has been that it can only be used in a controlled vacuum environment as evident from the many MN Element factories worldwide. Mankind has been dreaming of anti-gravity technology for hundreds of years. Pioneer/BASF Labs has brought those dreams to a reality with IsoFilm. It is impossible to control gravity but with MN fields we can remove the mass from a substance within that field. Till now, there has never been a way to isolate the effect from other objects nearby. cMNi stands for Controlled Mass Nullification Isolation. IsoFilm is a spray that is flexible and creates a barrier to the MN Field. It applies like paint and can be added to manufacturing processes like pigments. The mixture contains both core and thrice elements with a quatra activator. The precise mixture ratios and process is secret. Remember that Thrice elements are core elements like carbon that has been subjected to MN fields and displaced during deactivation sequence three times; Carbon3 (C3), Tungsten2 (W2), Lead4 (Pb4) and so on. Your ocular implants are constructed from quatra elements. Light-Lift Corporation, a subsidy of Sandia National Laboratories, has developed a portable field unit. Printing sequences will be available online later this year. Using Light-Lift's PFU and IsoFilm you will be able to effectively render nearly any object weightless. You attach the PFU to a sled, spray the IsoFilm on it all and activate the field using a remote. Levitation fans allow you to set the desired height and control direction. There is no weight limit. NTA (National Transportation Association) has already approved both commercial and private conveyance construction. Plans are being drawn for a city platform (our first ever floating city). Fantrastic Post Tom!!!! Maybe the breakthru is on a molecular level? You know, like the transporter research, that can teleport a molecule from one side of the petri dish to the other.... The steps to great science always start small. This breakthrough would be huge not just for floating things... If you can cancel out terrestrial gravity the next step should be the eternaly undoable, EM field, or electromagnetic field. We could spray this stuff on and walk into a nuclear reactor, fix it and wash off the suit later. I worked at Intel Corporation in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. We used to have Sandia retired engineers working in our plant with our robotics team. They are the most out of this world individuals you will ever meet. I had a friend from Sandia, who used to kid that he was an alien human hybrid...I belived him! |

The Barrier
Back in 2781 we discovered when antrogen and stryctimonium is combined it forms a barrier between them. This barrier is called the Duronic Barrier. Here are the results of the tests made to the Duronic Barrier. Test One Two rose flowers were harvested from the same plant. Two containers were fabricated, one with basic plexiglass and one with plexiglass coated with a Duronic Barrier. One flower was placed in each and recorded over time. In the normal plexiglss container the rose flower decayed normally over time but in the container coated with the Duronic Barrier, the rose flower did not decay at all. The test concluded at 3 years. Test Two Two containers were built. One normal plexiglass and one coated with a Duronic Barrier. White mice were placed in each and recorded over a period of two years. The mouse in the uncoated container soon died of starvation and decayed as expected. The mouse in the coated container remained alive for 3 years without food, water or air supply. Test Three Two mice were coated with Duronic Barrier. One coated only on the head, the other only on the body below the neck. The mice were recorded. The mouse coated only on the head died when the body aged out. The head was still intact and did not decay. The mouse coated on the body survived the three year test in perfect health despite not recieving sustinence. The head did not age even tho it was not coated with the Duronic Barrier. Test Four We are taking applications for human trials. If you are interested, fill out the form provided and pass the physical exam. The Duronic Barrier isolates Time/Entrophy. It holds promise for extended space travel and life extention. We NEED YOU to make all our dreams a reality. Sign up Now! |

Sometime in the future... Mankind will be studying English as an ancient language... the flags of our nations will be conquered and divided amongst the free... The only things that truly kept us alive and breathing... Is the possibility of a never ending frontier of life and co-existence..

Dam the woman!
Cosm was groggy as hell and had a splitting headache. He hated re-lifing, The process took months of relearning motor coordination and assimilating memories. For two months nano implants had been suppressing the coupling between the posterior cingulate cortex and the medial prefrontal cortex. This resulted in a state of almost unrestrained cognition, thus allowing for a vastly shortened assimilation time. It also gave you a splitting headache. The effect had first been noticed back in the 20th century when a neuroscientist and a psychologist had noticed the effect of mind manifesting drugs on the brains key connector hubs. The subject in this case had learned a second language overnight. The process of changing the brains default mode network, for the purpose of accelerated learning had been almost perfected by the 22nd century. Almost! The headaches remained. Dam the woman! she hadn't kept up her re-life insurance. If she was to be re-lifed, then someone was going to have to find a million credits. Dam the woman! where was he going to get a million credits. And would she forget the little misunderstanding about the consignment of missing antigrav. The antigrav that was probably ping ponging around the solar system by now. He looked at his bank balance despairingly and grimaced as the nano implants started doing their thing again. He was hoping for some memories that were of some use during this session. A screen flicked to life and a vaguely familiar face filled the screen. A soft voice spoke. "I assume everything is under control". Yea everything's good he replied. "Good, the carrier will be there in 230 hours" Cosm gave a thumbs up and gave what he hoped was a reassuring nod as he turned off the receiver. He was still waiting to remember something useful. |

Wonderful, Buzz litebeer!
Thanx fer adding to the endeavor. We had only a few minutes to respond. That deathship, the one we had been tracking for the last two parsecs, turned on us. It already laid waste to Outpost 330 and now it seems to be focused on us. Ready all guns...Ready first responders...Ready to take hostile fire! We waited, the enemy did not attack? Instead we were sent a barrage of messages? The computers were working overtime decrypting the ominous messages. Why didn't they attack? Why this sudden communication? Is this a ploy of some kind? As the computers decrypted the transmissions we slowly gained some understanding of our enemy. Seems they were on a peaceful mission till we fired upon them? As the transmission was deciphered we realized they were choosing not to attack in hopes we could reach some sort of agreement? The captain had lost family and friends on the ships they destroyed. He ordered a strike. We released a full payload against our foe. One by one the enemy ships fell to our onslaught. As the carnage continued, the enemy continued to send the same peaceful resolution. We did not cease our attack. Soon, space erupted in a series of bright lights. Suddenly there were thousands of enemy warships bearing down on us. Captain Shaw gave the order to target as many ships as possible but all our onslaught ceased. While Capt Shaw may have a personal agenda, his men were of other mind. Perhaps it was personal preservation, perhaps it was something else but all our defensive strategies ceased. It was amazing how we all decided at the same time without direction to stop firing on our enemy. A quiet came over the ship. Only Capt Shaw was screaming to fire, fire, fire, but nobody did? The ship, the one that destroyed Capt Shaw's family on Outpost 330, came closer. Its gun ports were closed. We got a new transmission. "We need to talk" How it was translated. Captain Shaw ordered a strike on that ship but nobody responded. We could hit it without problem but noone fired? 1st Officer Jamie Garland relieved Capt Shaw on grounds of conflict of interest. Shaw peacefully retired to his cabin. Many bridge crew were taken aback at Garland's action. Still, company rules are pretty cut a dried when it comes to fit for command policies. A small craft detached from the ship of interest. It approached our ship without fanfare. As it approached the docking bay there was a hesitation in the air. "Militia To Docking Bay Three" "Prepare to be Boarded" The "thing" that entered Docking Bay Three was NOTHING like anything we have ever experienced. It had a belt (so to speak) around its midsection. Its head was what appeared to be a single eye. It had two legs and two arms but each arm ended in a set of seven 'fingers' each. It was slightly smaller than us and the docking bay portal looked huge by comparison. It touched a spot on its belt and we heard "Don't Attack" "I come in peace" ... |

Yea I've got the dolly. Well not on me exactly, but once i see the bunny in my account ill send you the location. You have my word.. Cosm waited, and waited some more, and then the magic numbers appeared. Ok here is the tracker frequency. The one eyed being on the other end stood, half closed its single eye and inclined its upper torso forwards slightly.
I hope it's not too far out. Cosm offered. One eye gave a dismissive gesture " that wont be a problem, Nice doing business with you". There was a bleep on the com and the face and id of a inter planetary carrier operative appeared on the screen. He opened the container and examined the contents. Then washed some pain killers down with a glass of water and thought about getting out of the game. he had over a million credits after all, he could just leave. Take a flight under a false ID, to some backwater planet somewhere and take up fishing or something. " yes I'll accept her into my care, no, that's fine, thanks, I've got everything I need." Jenny was a bit childlike on the way back from the re-life center, Her memory reintegration was about one third complete. He had a few weeks before she was up to speed. I spent a million credits on you, you know. She looked at him coolly, smiled sweetly and said " I would be grateful except it was you that got me killed in the first place. Further more I suspect that you sold the antigrav that you stole from me that's where the million credits came from."Cosm squirmed, Maybe he didn't have a few weeks after all. "yea but at least I got you re-lifed. So we're even right?" When they were back at his apartment he put some ice on his lip while she began sorting through the delivery he had received earlier. "There has been a fracas it seems" she said at length. "what do we have to do exactly?" " oh the usual, expose the treachery dodge the fire, probably get killed, again. Speaking of which. Umm re-life insurance?" |
