How it happens that pictures are so awfully distorted on Mingle profiles ? I never saw that anywhere on social web sites... It's as much absurd as the huge majority of profiles here are empty (without any information) out the pic...

Sounds like you are looking at the Mutual Matches for that is a upgrade and the pictures are distorted to none paying members..
But it does not keep you from going to a members full profile and seeing the picture just as clear as day.. You just can not within that feature unless you upgrade.. Hope this helps.. Site Mod Kristi |

I think Sigismond means that sometimes pictures look compressed; as if the top and bottom are squeezed together a bit. I've noticed it also. Has nothing to do with Mutual Matches.

In that case a while back we had some glitches in the system which caused some pictures to look more like you was looking in a carnival looking glass. If this is the issue that is being asking then it was a glitch but the member will have to delete those pictures and reload them for when the glitch happened it did mess up some of the members pictures. If they are real blurry report them and let Admin look at them and decide if too blurry they will delete them and let the member know the picture did not met the sites guidelines. Site Mod Kristi |

How it happens that pictures are so awfully distorted on Mingle profiles ? I never saw that anywhere on social web sites... It's as much absurd as the huge majority of profiles here are empty (without any information) out the pic... A simple workaround, Left click and drag the picture up to your browser and drop it in your browser window. It will open full size. Without distortion. I know for sure this method works with the Google browser. |

Thank to everybody for these explanations and tips.
Indeed I didn't refer to Mutual Matches (only) but to a part of the profiles'pictures. Thank to Mike who understood, and specially to Charles for hes tip. Indeed I had to think about it by myself. I don't use the Google browser, but Firefox. But just right clicking on the pic and chosing "display the picture" (I translate from French) and it's o.k., the browser shows the pic correctly (though sometime it looks smaller than on the profile page, but it's just due to the photo resolution). |
