Humm I don't use them but it could be the same reason some hide behind hats and sunglasses~~~ One can always by pass the ones that hid what they truly look like~~~

I think some of that stuff is just for fun. I would say, no big deal - as long as they show/send a real clear picture before you actually meet them. If not, it's false advertising.
