I guess this would be as good a place as any. Let me tell you about today. I am divorced. I go over to my other house to pick my daughters up so we can go out to eat today and I come to realize, why can't we all be like dogs or cats? When I got there, my two daughters dogs and my cat even all greeted me at the door with jolliness like they haven't seen me in a while. I got more response from them than I did anyone else but yet I got the love I needed from my daughters I was expecting. But, if we all could be like dogs and cats, who don't know forgiveness, who don't know hatefulness, who don't know separation or divorce, but all they understand is love and who their masters are. They only know what we instill in them. Don't we instill love in them? Don't we instill love and kindness as well? Why can't we all be the same way to each other instead of letting hatred, resentment, prejudice and all the negatives get in our way? I don't know....it was just a thought.

Dogs and cats may be that way to us, but to eachother its a whole different story. Actually, that would mean they are more like us than we think. Ah, deep thoughts by Jean....lol

Yes, they can be like us, but they only learn what we instill in them, just like what we instill in our children as they grow up. It's all a learning process.

Yeah animals are alot more like us than you think.

It's funny that I read this topic now, because I just got done watching a documentary about a cheetah (I think it was something like "Cheetah Orphans" or something like that). Well, when they let these two brother cheetahs into the wild, and they monitored them. One of they got into somee trouble with some lions (fellow cats), the one brother escaped, but the other died. A few years later a gang of cheetahs (fellow cats AND same breed) attacked the second brother. If the people were not there to save the cheetah, he would have died, in fact his collar actually helped save him.

So you see, animals can be just as cruel as we can. Yet, it's funny that they are able to show us more love than they show their own, and we show them more love than we show our own.
