Hopefully he'll come around for the child (and for you). But, kids need their mother more than the father, so if he doesn't come around, atleast she'll have the only one that does matter. IMO.

My daughter's father has never been around and trust me, it gets better!
I know it's really lonely right now, and there will be rough spots along the way but you and your child will be so much closer.
That's what makes it all worth it :) Hang in there!
(and make sure he at least fulfills his financial obligations)

I still can't wait to be a father. I had a chance when I was engaged to someone for 3 years buuuut that didn't go too well. We got pregnant and of course I was just ecstatic! But she changed her mind and got an abortion behind my back so that kind of spoiled that dream for a while.

It just happens to the best of us.

You're going to have SO much fun going shoe shopping! Seriously that was one of my favorite things to do, getting some tiny little booties. Even if I had to wait a few years until I could use them haha. Cute cute cute girl.

No worries, I've learned how to cope with it and "Live without". But I can honestly tell you I wouldn't be half the man I am today if that didn't happen.

She is incredible ((((Girl))) You never forget that feeling of holding your brand new baby.....it will warm your heart forever! I get teary eyed just looking at new borns and the rush of emotion that comes w/ those memories!!

a former LTR hadn't seen his daughter since she was 8 yrs. old...when we got together I asked him if he wanted me to do a people search for her online, he said yes and so I did. It took about 2 weeks to get a response from her...she was 32 when she got my letter. He has seen her twice since I first located her. I can not understand how one can neglect their own flesh and blood either...I know I am not made up that way.

I have 3 kids whoz father pretty much turned his back on , the youngest doesnt know him at ALL....
its sad ...its sick really hard to imagine someone being so selfish an cold , but there are people like that .....

No offense Dad....and I know that is a pretty common saying, but if you think about it you never hear...

"Anyone can be a mother......it takes a real woman to be a mom"

It is just taken for granted that the mother will be the care giver no matter what the situation! I respect any man who supports and loves their children! It is just so irratating that a lot of men just don't have that immediate sense of responsibility and undieing love for their babies! How can they just go on with life like their children don't exist! The thought of not seeing or knowing my children is heart breaking.....I will never understand!
