Topic: About my night. | |
---|---|
Well I am new, and I will rant about my night for you all to read about and maybe give me some advice or even get a laugh out of it..It doesnt matter to me.
I have been talking to this guy for about a year and half. We always said we were going to meet and we never did but tonight we were going to for the first time. So we set up everything, the place the time and what not. I got to the mall I called him, he said he was there so I told him I was going inside and that he should come inside so we could meet. Well he told me he felt like he was set up. He asked what my car looked like so I told him. He texted me and told me he found my car and that he was parked next to it, so I go back outside and there was no truck next to my car. I called him and said what is up? He said he feels like he is being set up. I said I told you I was going inside and you said you were going to meet inside at the store we picked. Then I asked him where are you, I will meet you where you are. And I got no answer for like 10mins. So I started walking back and forth outside like a homeless person. He finally called me and told me he was driving back home. And if I wanted to meet him I can come there see him. So I started to drive home. On my way home I was texting/calling him. He kept telling me if I wanted to see him I have to go there to see him. I told him excuse me so you drove an hour and a half to come here and not meet me. I told him I am not driving there to see you end of story. Then I get on my computer on my AIM. He then comes back from being away and starts all over about me going to see him..so I stoped talking to him. Ugh sometimes, I could just strange SOME guys for their stupidness. |

sounds like he wasn't even at the mall...he just wanted you to come to his place last minute so he could abduct you.

Men....most say they want to meet you, they rarely do. It has become a FACT of life. I would reconsider talking to him, if he is going to put you out again?? Make him come to you if he wants to meet with you, this way if it wants to....he will make the effort.

call him and tell him you have been thinking about him all day and would like to meet him again and... oops! SCREW HIM!!!

It sounds like the dude has some serious issues! Or, he is just playing games with you. I would seriously consider droping him like a hot rock!

Puffins, you seem right. I told him he was the one that missed up and that he needs to make it up to me, by come back out here. But he told me that the mall was to inner city for him he didnt feel safe getting out of his truck. And I had to laugh, I told him you are a baby if you didnt feel safe getting out of your truck in a public parking lot to walk into the mall.

Yea, there is something very wrong here!
Either he is just messing with you, or he wants to get you alone away from witnesses! I would drop him fast, you don't need to waste your time on this guy if it took that long to even try meeting. And be very careful when you meet new people! |

Wow. that sounds fishy and suspicious. I agree with some of the other ladies. I don't think he ever actually went to the mall. I DO think he's not on the up and up. He may wish to do you harm and not want witnesses. I would have nothing more to do with him...besides what guy would actually drive an hour and half and not make sure he meets you?

Sounds fishy to me. just be careful....your safety comes first
|

I dont know, he claims he was at the mall. But like you said texasrose who would drive that long and fair not to meet the person.
Hmm I know it is fishy. I'm just like whatever with him right now. He keeps trying to talk to me on AIM and the phone and I'm not talking to him. Haha I really hope I make him mad,he made me mad and upset. |

It is possible he was trying to lure you to his place. I find it strange that after a year, and such a drive he wouldn't do his utmost to see you if he was actually there. The other thing....what kind of mental problems might this guy have if he couldn't get out of his truck in a parking lot? This story gives me the heebie-jeebies.....you may have narrowly missed being a victim...

First, as a guy, and second, as a guy that was a sheriff's deputy for 9 years, you did the right thing for trying to meet him in a public place. It's good to hear that you did not go any further in trying to meet this guy.
Ladies, a small piece of advice. When/if you're going to meet someone from online, tell your best girlfriend, or someone you trust about the everything about the meet. And also give that person the password to get into your account if, Lord forbid, you come in contact with a nutjob like Dreamer almost did. Girl, I applaud you for listening to your inner voice. You could have been a victim. |

well I'm a guy, and I don't meet anyplace but in a public area the first time. You did the right thing. If he can't come to meet you in the mall, then you don't need to meet him at all.

Ahhh, Dreamer, that just stinks. However, you were so right to try to meet up at a public place. Whatever his excuses are, they are just that...excuses.
Hang in there. There are many more out there and one that will be deserving of your company. Very good advice, Sully, you are so right. Hugs, M |

Yeah what they said. There is no excuse for not meeting
you easily in a public place. The only reason is that he did not want to meet there and that is a BAD BAD BAD reason. Do not correspond or meet with this guy period. Make some new friends here. Be SAFE and available to find someone who will meet you publicly with your friends wherever and whenever you like! |

Yeah what s1ow said, I ditto that!
