SAN ANTONIO -- A mattress store has apologized amid mounting social media criticism of a commercial advertising 9/11.

A video circulating on Facebook on Thursday shows a commercial from Miracle Mattress, which is located on Northwest Loop 410.

The commercial states: "Right now, you can get any size mattress for a twin price." It is centered around the anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

It also shows people in the commercial falling onto two stacks of mattresses, knocking them to the ground.

Facebook users are calling the ad "disgusting & and in poor taste."

Miracle Mattress posted the following statement on its Facebook page in response to the online backlash

"To all of those who have seen our 9/11 sale. We are very sorry we have offended you. Our intentions were not to hurt anyone at all. Our staff is full of military and some relatives have passed away due to 9/11. We are promoters of peace and love. We have given abundantly to our community here in San Antonio and wish to remain known as a company who respects and loves others. We hope you find it in your hearts to forgive us. Please accept our apology.

The ad has since been pulled from Miracle Mattress's Facebook page. It's not clear yet whether the commercial aired on local TV stations.

That is just flat out wrong. And absolutely classless.

9/11 is in American history just as Pearl Harbor is. It is a National day to remember what happened.. to remember those murdered.. to reflect.

It is not to sell friggin mattresses!!

 People tend to forget, we were attacked on our own soil. And have had the same type wackos terrorizing us since.

NO, we did not forget & will not forgive. Will France? Will any country? noway

* Take a look at the pic & video, are those short, fat, *******... even legal Americans?. It IS TEXAS, for heavens sake!!. If you wanted to scare us, you failed, you have enraged, not just the locals, but an ENTIRE NATION * mad

It is sad what this world is becoming.. And sadder that any business would make a joke out of 9/11. You don't even see comedians make that mistake..

But to add to this here is their yelp page they are getting hammered... And will be lucky if their business does survive ...

oh Jaisus...That is enough for me to puke.
How dare they... I had to watch the Utube 2x to make sure I saw what I saw.

I hope they go bankrupt.
And I never hope for ill on other people.

How can they even think that this was funny.

Deflection is cool .. Huh?

....

Though Texas is listed as a conservative state,
there are a few libtard enclaves. San Antonio,
is one of them.

Walmart removes 9/11 Coca-Cola display in shape of Twin Towers after outcry

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/florida-walmart-911-memorial-coca-cola-online-outcry-a7233106.html/

The crass display appeared - briefly - at a branch of Walmart in Panama City, Florida (/Twitter)

A Florida branch of Walmart has dismantled an elaborate display of Coca-Cola products stacked to resemble the World Trade Centre’s Twin Towers, following an online outcry.

The display, designed to commemorate the coming 15th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks this weekend, was topped off with a banner of the New York City skyline, which carried the Coca-Cola and Walmart logos and was captioned: “We Will Never Forget”. Beneath the banner was a sign advertising a sale price on multipacks of Coke, Coke Zero and Diet Coke.

It did not appear to occur to the store’s management that the display might be in poor taste until it was pointed out by a Twitter user, Shawn Richard, who happened to be shopping at the Panama City Walmart on Tuesday. “We stopped and stared at it like, ‘Oh my god,’” Mr Richard told BuzzFeed. “Nobody seemed to be noticing it, it wasn’t very crowded, and I got the feeling that it had just been assembled.

This is THE ultimate in brand 9/11 cash-in tackiness and nothing will ever ever ever top it https://t.co/3VWNTcKfmx/
— Natasha Daly (@natashaldaly) September 7, 2016

Mr Richard snapped a photo of the crass, Coke-based construction and posted it on social media, where it was shared by several thousand amazed and outraged Twitter users. Walmart took down the display the following day. In a statement, the firm said “there was nothing disrespectful intended by the display,” insisting: “We hold this moment in our country’s history in the highest regard.

Coca-Cola also apologised and said the display had been intended to honour local firefighters.

I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't get severe tongue lashing in person or over the phone by President Bush, that is his neck of the woods.
