Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump set out more details on his immigration policy as he sought to play down criticism he had softened his hardline stance on deporting undocumented migrants from the US.

At a fund raiser for Senator Joni Ernst in Iowa, Trump told the crowds to rounds of applause:

“On Day One, I am going to begin swiftly removing criminal illegal immigrants from this country – including removing the hundreds of thousands of criminal illegal immigrants that have been released into U.S. communities under the incompetent Obama-Clinton Administration.”

He also said he would “institute nationwide E-Verify, stop illegal immigrants from accessing welfare and entitlements, and develop an exit-entry tracking system to ensure those who overstay their visas are quickly removed”.

Previously, Trump won over conservative voters with his hardline approach saying he would build a border wall. In Iowa he avoided clarifying whether he would deport 11 million million undocumented migrants living in the country.

* They are way off... tsk, tsk.. writing White House PC / wordplay/ downplay.. it is 15.7 ILLEGAL ALIENS *

MIGHT be nice, to have a President, who doesn't try to over ride Departments (like The Department of Imigration), and sticks to OUR OWN (present) laws & RESPECTS
jurisdictions.

This POTUS feels that our laws are only suggestions he's not obligated to enforce or follow.... but he wrongfully thinks he can write and rewrite laws and use his corrupt and bias liberal alphabet agencies to illegally enforce those.

Of course he would think Clinton would be the best to continue his illegal and lawless legacy. She has proven herself to be even more lawless and careless than he is.

Her presidency would make his time in office look good laugh

Trump vows to deport criminal illegal immigrants

No problems here.

With a presidential promise and 5 bucks you can get a coffee at starbucks.

Not to mention, lots of presidential promises tend to include a lot of bad things.

"We need to secure our borders and protect ourselves from terrorists! War on terror!" so here's the patriot act.

“institute nationwide E-Verify

How does E-Verify work?
A government maintained database of citizen information, including facial recognition.
Institute nationwide = mandate nationally.
Yeah! B...b..b..but da gubment would only use dat against da illegals! Dey pwomised! It's for our safety against dem criminal illegals! War on Terr..err..illegals!

stop illegal immigrants from accessing welfare and entitlements

Great. Love to hear how they plan to do that...seeing as illegal immigrants aren't supposed to get them now...but amazingly people that are citizens get "welfare" and "entitlements," and then they give them to their illegal family members and neighbors and friends.

Kind of like saying "we're going to stop people from giving presents!"

And some of the welfare and entitlements are going to anchor babies.
Mom and dad snuck in, dropped a baby, then the kid qualifies legally for government handouts, which the illegal parents benefit from.

Is there going to be an amendment to the constitution making anchor babies illegal? Just no welfare until you're 18? Good luck with that.

develop an exit-entry tracking system to ensure those who overstay their visas are quickly removed”

So more federal level law enforcement officers in every city chasing people down, kicking in doors, hunting, and citywide monitoring.

So basically Trump is saying "I'm going to expand government power, increase government spending, increase surveillance, and increase military law enforcement...but it's to fight the illegals!"

War on drugs failed.
War on terror failing.
Time for a war on illegals!

Hhhaaa....  well if I was President, it would of been done already.

In any event, it would be a lot CHEAPER, than American taxpayers paying out of pocket & sometimes with their lives, to keep them all.

That is what Americans want, & always have. (Our laws obeyed & a roundup if necessary).

Scares you... does it? Which part , faceless man?

Earlier this morning....
_______________
Criminal charges are pending against the driver of a bus at the center of a traffic crash on Interstate 10 that killed two people on Sunday morning, including a high-ranking St. John the Baptist Parish firefighter, Louisiana State Police said.
State Police identified the bus driver as Denis Yasmir Amaya Rodriguez, of Honduras, who turned 37 earlier this month. Amaya — who had no driver's license — admitted to troopers that he was in the United States without necessary immigration documents and was driving a group of largely Honduran workers from New Orleans to Baton Rouge to assist in relief efforts following the devastating flooding there earlier this month, Trooper Melissa Matey said.

But idiots think illegal immigration isn't an issue......And I'd bet a $100 all those passengers on that bus were illegal also.

Anyone but me actually look up what this is all about? I suggest you do.

It's mostly classic Trump-style republican political hyperbole.

That is, it is false to say that the Obama administration released all those people, and stop there. It's a lie to pretend that none of them were in the process of being deported.

According to Politifact (http://www.politifact.com/texas/statements/2015/aug/28/ted-cruz/ted-cruz-obama-administration-released-104000-crim/), the criminals were released AS REQUIRED BY EXISTING LAW, either after they served their time, or were otherwise processed by the justice system, and most WERE beginning the deportation proceedings.

So as with many such political year statements/promises, Trump wont actually be able to do anything of the kind as he claims, because it will be Congress and the already-Republican controlled federal courts that will have to make the changes needed to alter this insanity.

The TWO DEAD ARE AMERICAN CITIZENS

..a fire chief and a passenger in another car are dead....another fireman seriously hurt,
...and yet, no one is outraged.? They should be shipped out and whoever hired them should be locked to **** up :grimacing:

I fail to see how this can be thought of as a good thing, yea gridlock in a country where nothing gets accomplished... great
I suggest instead of just being Anti-Trump whatever the subject, that you first evaluate if what he's really saying actually makes sense or not? noway

Every country SHOULD have a wall

Every illegal migrant SHOULD be deported

Most of what Trump is saying makes sense IMO

You'd only see that if you weren't so outraged about everything he says lol

Point finale!

We need a better system of tracking those who abuse their visa privileges, illegals, and better border control.... both borders.... but I am a little concerned about implementing e-verify or a "real ID" system on the populace in general.

Aren't we tracked and spied on enough with RFID chips on our vehicles, credit cards, ID/licenses and every other type of surveillance implemented after 9/11, the patriot act and the abuses to privacy and the 4th amendment the govt imposed on us?

If it were only applied to non-citizens it would be understandable, even acceptable and somewhat justified, but the govt is never content with a partial implementation of anything...... and data is power! Just ask J Edgar!

If you read what I said more carefully, you will realize that I didn't say any of it was "a good thing" either.

Further, if you read what I actually said, instead of what you eagerly leaped to conclude out of your own imagination, you will also see that I did NOT say anything that could be construed as "anti-Trump."

I said that Trump does not have the legal power to do what he said in his speech that he would do.

Excellent observations.

That's my own concern about pretty much ALL the things various politicians say they want to do, in their speeches. They'll talk about fixing this, and protecting us from that, but if you look carefully at what has to happen on the ground, for them to actually be able to DO what they talk about, you'll often find that you really don't WANT all that.

I am neither a Trump Advocate, nor a Clinton advocate. Since you claim to have read my previous posts enough to (erroneously) analyze me, you should realize already that I have not heaped praise on either of them.

By the way, another error in your posting: Hillary is firmly established as "not a man."
