about holding her hand
it was
as if time stood still
as it watched us grow into something
more beautiful than midnight stars
stretched out across the edge of tomorrow

how she tempted me

it was
as if all she wanted
was what I had to offer

I know
it sounds strange
but it was real

as if the better part of who I was
was made even better
by who she was
I smiled more

and wanted
her to know more than anything
that I was in love with her

then she is
