I am proud to be a Filipino. I must say we are taught in school and at home to always mind our manners We are happy, friendly, hospitable and respectful people
And here I share to you songs that would surely add fun and value to your life Songs that Teach Good Manners, Etiquette, Classroom Behavior and Social Skills Add some fun to your classroom while supplementing the Social Skills curriculum with songs! Whether you need educational music for teaching good manners, taking turns or expressing emotions with words, you'll find a varied selection below. These Etiquette Songs are for children of all ages... and many will also appeal to grown-ups. MAKE A DIFFERENCE To make a difference in this world there is a place to start. There's many things that you can do and it starts with in your heart. You take a look within yourself and ask "What can I do To make this world a better place for me and also you?" You start by being kinder, or maybe more polite To a friend or neighbor, now that would be just right. CHORUS: How can you make a difference It’s not that hard it's true. You can make a difference By being your best you. Another way to help the world is thinking first of others. You start by sharing what you have with sisters and with brothers. Next you help with neighbors in your neighborhood By being nice and friendly and doing what you should. Your neighborhood will then become a better place to live And you can start to make it so by learning how to give. CHORUS Try to make good choices, now that's the place to start, For when you make good choices you work to do your part. Always try to tell the truth, please never tell a lie. Be real honest, yes you should and here's the reason why. The world would be a better place if everyone would be Honest in their work and play in their community. MANNERS MATTER EVERYWHERE Manners matter they really do. Like a mirror they reflect on you. So use your manners everyday, No matter where you work or play. When you meet someone you say “How do you do?” In Spain, “Como estas?”. In China, “Ni hao wan.” In France, “Comment se vas?” When you want something you say “Please”. In Spain, “por favor”, In China, “Chi’in”. In France, “si vous plait” When you get something you say “Thank you” In Spain, “gracias”. In China “Shi shi nee” In France, “merci” In Hindi, thank you’s “Tun ya vad”. In Japanese, “Duomo” In Farsi, “Mamood”. You’re welcome, “Da nada” in Spanish. In Japanese, “Dou itashimashite”. In French, “Je vous en prie”. In Farsi, “Hahesh minkonam”. A SMILE AND A KIND WORD When I'm feeling sad and someone asks How can I help you? I say what my daddy always said Just a smile and a kind word will do Just a smile and a kind word will do Chorus: Just give a smile any kind of little smile will do A few kind words like my daddy taught me to Just give a smile any kind of little smile will do A few kind words like I'm lucky to have a friend like you So if a friend is feeling down there's something you can do Just try a smile and a few kind words It's sure to help them too WHEN YOUR MANNERS SHINE What do you say when someone says hi? (you say) Hi how are you. That's what say when someone says hi. (you say) Hi how are you. Be polite – say nice things Then you'll see what good manners bring. You'll have friends all the time When your manners shine. What do you say when you leave the room? (you say) Bye, see you soon. That's what say when you leave the room. (you say) Bye, see you soon. Chorus What do you say when someone helps you? (you say) Thank you very much. That's what say when someone helps you. (you say) Thank you very much. Chorus What do you say when someone needs help? (you say) May I help you? That's what say when someone needs help. (you say) May I help you? Chorus Please, is a good word. You say please when you want something. Use good manners when you ask say please. Say please, say please... FRIENDLY WORDS Let's sing a little song about the words we say To make people smile every single day Friendly words are what we use So think about the words you choose. Hi and Hello and How are you? Are friendly greeting words through and through Another friendly thing that you can say Is "You look very pretty today" But if you say "peee-yew, you stink", That's just not so nice, don't you think Gross and yuck and disgusting Are not friendly words for you and me So use nice words and then you'll see It's so cool to be friendly So use nice words and then you'll see It's so cool to be friendly |

I have some friends that moved to California from the Philippines. They are some of the sweetest, friendliest, happiest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.
I also hear interesting stories about life and the cultural diversity on their 7107 islands. A place I definitely want to visit some day. |

She can be having the worst day, and she still greets everyone in the apartment complex with a friendly hello and warm smile. If you go over to her apartment, you're going to eat. Even if she just finished a meal, she's going to whip up something. I've had similar experiences to you, Jack, with Filipinos in this area. Nice and greet with a smile when I interact with them. |

A smile and a kind word make a world of difference. Whether it's online (I've talked to several women in the Philippines online as well) or in person, they all seem to be the kindest, sweetest, nicest, happiest people. I don't usually make an assessment based on interactions with a few people, but I have never met someone from the Philippines who doesn't display these characteristics. I'm sure there are exceptions. There are a few in every crowd. All my experiences with Filipinos have been pleasant thus far. I do hope I can visit a few of the islands someday. Maybe even meet in person some of the folks I've chatted with. |
