Just from an intelligent legal point of view, the accusations in this this thread are based on pictures. There is no court of law, state or Federal, where ANYONE can be found guilty of smoking pot, when all you have as evidence, is a photograph of them puffing on SOMETHING.

Anti-people who chatter about "lawbreakers" almost NEVER actually support the rule of law in any way, despite spouting off about it in forums like this. They instead support the rule of "I don't like that person, or someone connected to them, so I will attack them without any factual or legal grounds."

Pot is legal in DC, so the question becomes "so what?"

It wasn't in DC and its still a violation of Federal Law in this country.

It's been legal in DC for a while. You can purchase it right across from the White House. It's legal in many States. I repeat States Rights. They can choose to follow federal law and collect federal funds for doing so. They can also refuse their funds. The DEA has been ordered to back down on it for a while now. It will eventually get to the rest of the states. They more money off of it than the feds would ever give.

I don't get why its illegal, when alcohol and guns are perfectly fine.

I much prefer someone smoking a joint to getting 'drunk' or cleaning their guns,,,

but thats just me

Federal Law supersedes States Rights. The States where it is "legal" just do not use any State resources to enforce the Federal law.
The FBI or DEA can bust anyone growing, smoking or selling pot in any of the fifty states.
This admin refuses to use federal resources to enforce the law but the next admin may not and make all these "legal" states ILLEGAL.

I doubt they will worry about it.....I don't think the states where it's legal care about the federal law. So, if open container is Legal in DE the FBI is going to stop that too because Federal law says so. Too many resources to use for that. Too many bigger problems. Like meth, heroin, coke, Roxy's, or whatever else. Pot is the least of the worries out there.

I doubt the Feds will ever go after small time smokers but another admin could and might bust all the growers and dispensing "stores" just because it is ILLEGAL.They would also get money from severe fines for selling class 1 drugs(same as heroine).
It certainly isn't my opinion that they should, my point is, it is still classified as an illicit drug like cocaine or heroine and is ILLEGAL in the United States.

The bigger point, I think, is that anyone who compares getting high or drunk to cleaning a firearm is....

A) Trolling
B) Incredibly misinformed
C) Just plain dumb
or
D) Drunk or high as frick.....

I meant "Indian Hemp"!laugh

United States

Hemp was made illegal to grow without a permit in the U.S. under the Controlled Substances Act passed in 1970 because of its relation to marijuana,[17] and any imported hemp products must meet a zero tolerance level.[101] Some states have made the cultivation of industrial hemp legal, but farmers in many states have not yet begun to grow it because of resistance from the federal Drug Enforcement Administration.[102] In 2013, after the legalization of cannabis in the state, several farmers in Colorado planted and harvested several acres of hemp, bringing in the first hemp crop in the United States in over half a century.[103] Colorado,[104] Vermont, California, and North Dakota have passed laws enabling hemp licensure. All four states are waiting for permission to grow hemp from the DEA. Currently,[105] North Dakota representatives are pursuing legal measures to force DEA approval.[106] Oregon has licensed industrial hemp as of August 2009.[107] Congress included a provision in the Agricultural Act of 2014 that allowed colleges and state agencies to grow and conduct research on hemp in states where it is legal.[17]WIKI

Still don't see the Relation of Ganja to Guns and Alcohol,as the other Poster tried to establish!laugh

Personally I could care less who smokes that Stuff and who doesn't!

Federal Law trumps States.

If a Federal Agent see's a law being broken first hand they are required by law to take action.

feds arent 'required' , they have discretion to prioritize and choose where to use resources
