Topic: Is it allowed? | |
---|---|
I came across a woman's profile who was from West Java. She Identifies her religion as Muslim/Islamic. Her profile pic shows her with head scarf like traditional Muslims wear.
What caught my eye is her "headline" which read "looking for woman to marry". It's my understanding that the Muslim faith and by most accounts, countries that are predominately Muslim forbid gay relationships. So my question is, is gay marriage legal in West Java? I did try to google it without much luck so If anyone is from Java and can answer this it will fulfill my curiosity |

leave aside her place of residence , there is contradiction in her profile , Islam , as other two Abrahamic religions forbids all forms of homosexual relationships and even talks about a bloody punishment ( the story of Sodom and Gomorrah ), this lady is either a scammer , or suffer from schizophrenia , I can't understand how would someone - believes in their right to choose his sexual orientation - how would they follow some religion that denies even their right to live .

Homosexuality is consider a major sin but then so is many other sins like drinking, pre-martial sex, lying and stealing. It's sad to say but we can all think of a Muslim who does that. So it's not allowed but we are humans and are not perfect. I myself have sins

My first thought, is that the headline is the result of a mistranslation. I've seen that many languages put the verbs and nouns in different positions than English speakers do, and if the translation program isn't up to snuff, it will make a mess of things in exactly that way.

I imagine that like the christian faith the muslim faith is subject to personal translations and interpretations,,,
many christians read in the bible that homosexual life is a sin,, others are actually conducting homosexual marriages,,, so 'allowed' becomes a matter of who you ask and how they interpreted their holy book |

(exceptions being of-course under-age and or pedifiles)
I think If one is looking for ADULT love, illegal to your culture, religiously immoral, or not, love transcends all laws, religions, and cultures, and it's hard enough to find IF! They are looking. I just wish people would let other people who have found it, or are looking for it, ____________________BE..... but it will never be the case. |

What is this video. I can see it is someone falling with camera in action, I think. What is the reason for this video and what is the point being made, especially in relation to the topic post? ALL FIVE major religions are against/ forbid homosexuality. But only, ONE will KILL over it, & that is MUSLIM. And the Quran, even says how the death penalty should be carried out. They are to be thrown off cliffs. (If a cliff isn't available, then buildings, riverbank etc are used.. Yes, this day & age) Hence the video... |

Thanks for explaining. I had a feeling that it may be something like that. But was horrified to see that video. How cruel. Let he/she that has not sinned cast the first stone. Maybe you could also write, let he/she that has not sinned throw the first person off the building. Very, very sad.

And there IS actual video of homosexuals being thrown off roofs...search sites like liveleak.com Let he/she that has not sinned cast the first stone There's video out there of that too...but that is usually reserved for women who have been raped...then accused of adultery.
