hhhmm!something's wrong somewhere! Typically, gay people introduce their whatever as their "PARTNER" whereas a none-gay person would introduce their whatever as their fiance', girlfriend, etc, etc. |

do you have any specific expectation in mind from that person? Nothing more than I would have for any other complete stranger. I think one of the worst things that could happen to someone, that doesn't know me, has never spoken to me, is to be faced by some strange guy announcing lifelong partnership and a bunch of expectations. |

hypothetically,in this very moment you will meet your lifelong partner. do you have any specific expectation in mind from that person? I do, even though I'm not looking to marry anytime soon but never say never... 1. Does she communicate in an open and effective manner? 2. Does she live her life with integrity? 3. Does she listen and is she emotionally responsive? 5. I'd study her posture that she'd hold and demonstrate towards men in general and that'd tell me how she'll treat me after 2 years of marriage. 6. I look for accurate signals about what is important for her in her life and in the relationship, and how she feels emotionally. 7. Make sure she fights fair with me and not use some pseudo-psychological chicken-chit ploy to get the upper hand. 8. Integrity is a key attribute to me. 9. Does she share the same values as I do? 10. Does she have the capability of genuine empathy and is she interested in working through pain and problems? 11. The woman I'd choose to marry should show genuine respect for me and others. 12. Her willingness to view my relationship with her as an adventure would show me how secure she is. 13. I'd look for an emotional grown up woman. 14. When she has experienced losses or frustrations in past relationships, has it made her more open to love again, or more bitter and pessimistic? 15. I'd look for flexibility in thought patterns. 16. The single most important thing I'd look for in a woman is Compassion without gender discrimination. Rare these days. 17. Willingness to self-reflect. 18. I'd ask myself: "Am I growing, or making myself smaller to be in this relationship with her?” 19. I'd look for a woman with a good solid self-esteem. Many lack that trait. 21. I'd look for a woman who can openly reflect on her negative feelings, rather than just avoid them or act them out against me. 22. Is she my equal or my overlord? Women tend to be bossy with guys. I'd make sure she understands what Equality REALLY means. There's more but I could be here all day. |

hypothetically,in this very moment you will meet your lifelong partner. do you have any specific expectation in mind from that person? I don't have much expectations as long as we love each other and we both accept our flaws and imperfections. "Love me as I am" and just be honest with me. Tell the truth even if it could hurt me. When I give my heart it's up to my partner to take care of it or break it. No expectations, no disappointments....... |

hypothetically,in this very moment you will meet your lifelong partner. do you have any specific expectation in mind from that person? Very hypothetical...don't know if "life long partners" even exist anymore |
Pardon my confusion. Are you trying to ask what list of concerns I know I have which would DECIDE whether or not someone COULD be my life-long partner?
