Topic: Can you still find love when your over 50 | |

AS it has been said people get set in their ways, well I hope someone out there is set in the same way as me with a little wiggle room just to be different.

You gotta love your own life and the things you do first. The love lays within us. Love is about sharing and giving not finding and getting. So yes it's certainly possible to find someone that wants to receive the love we have to give.

I sort of think love finds us. So much is involved in that word, "Love".I don't want to miss out on all the sweet and interesting people and things that make up that word. Love might be hiding in a simple, "Hello".

I think it depends upon how truly open one is to it and if one really wants love and are ready to meet the rigors/expectations of relationship. It also depends upon how much one likes men/women as opposed to tolerating them in order to extract something from them.
I think knowing one's frame of mind and understanding that at our age, people aren't going to tolerate a bitter attitude helps one out in the long run because life is way too short for that mess. |

Hi

Love over 50 is possible. Love does not have an expiry date, unlike the lumpy milk in the fridge. I will believe in love and the chance of love until I reach my expiry date..

well I will answer this even though I have not yet met this milestone
so I am a GRAND mother..of this wonderful beautiful two year old boy that I am priviliged to spend time with a few days a week while his parents work..I read books to him, fix him nutritious meals, I play with him..we have made lego towers many times and each time he knocks it down I build it again I am the GRAND mother because I have earned this position. Why? because I was once upon a time a new mother that had no clue how to do this thing called parenting and those bastages at the hospital did not give me the owner's manual when they sent that baby home with me..but somehow we both survived and over the years I learned how to help with homework, go to ball games, I learned how to set limits, stand firm on my beliefs and raise this boy into being a man this grand child is my reward. I think love should be like that..we deserve a new title after doing it for ten, fifteen, twenty or more years with one partner and doing it well oh by no means perfect but we were in the trenches of daily married life and fighting the good fight daily.. we know more about love and what it should be what it has the real possibilities of becoming a true partnership between a man and a woman then most of you young-ins will ever know |

Heck you can find love at 90... Who would even think there is a age limit to finding love...
It all comes down to are you ready or willing to let love in? Heck I'm so set in my ways it hurts, but if that connection happens hey I'm going for it.. And yes I'm over 50 knocking on 60's door~~~~ |

Of course you can ! Only if you want to though I guess, being over 50 is not the end of the world although it may seem like it if there is a lot of baggage trailing behind
