Did she......borrow?, copy?
Don't care.
who knows,, someone did
she said she practically wrote it herself her husband says he as a team of writers for her but someone screwed the pooch and didn't check it over and I for one don't care, I don't follow the conventions much as its just a televised ego fest of everyone gathering to claim how wonderful and fantastic their candidate is,,,, very predictable and unhelpful,, except for when they actually refer to accomplishments and history that aligns with presidential duties which is getting more and more rare imho |

Did she......borrow?, copy? yes ... she did take a lot of words from the first ladies speech ... but now they are saying the first lady borrow or copied someone else speech also ... if I had a memory... I would remember who ... |

uh,, it wasn't that one line
it was a paragraph of four lines, in the same order lol mrs Obama in 2008 values that you work hard for what you want in life, that your word is your bond, and you do what you say you're going to do; that you treat people with dignity and respect mrs trump in 2016 values that you work hard for what you want in life, that your word is your bond, and you do what you say AND KEEP YOUR PROMISE; that you treat people with respect four values, in the same order, and almost all the same words,,, |

4 values all the same order. ...from a book written in 1992........
“...is based upon the application of certain basic truths: that integrity is all important, that your word is your bond, that if you owe a person money you pay him back, that you work hard, enjoy what you do and show a loyalty to those with whom you work and do business. He instilled in me simple, clear cut values and a will to succeed.” But let me guess...this isn't close enough to be considered plagiarism. .... |

And then there is this..... Writer Smacks Down The Daily Show's Suggestion Trump Jr. Plagiarized Him By Josh Feldman | Mediaite The Daily Show thought it had a smoking gun on its hands tonight, but it turns out it’s not exactly what they thought. See, they looked at some of the lines from Donald Trump Jr.‘s speech and found them to be very similar to a piece written by conservative author F.H. Buckley: OMG, right?! Well, it turns out that it wasn’t plagiarism. Buckley helped write the speech. |

oh, look, someone (besides the trumps) came forward to take responsibility
My name is Meredith McIver and I’m an in-house staff writer at the Trump Organization. I am also a longtime friend and admirer of the Trump family. In working with Melania Trump on her recent First Lady speech, we discussed many people who inspired her and messages she wanted to share with the American people. A person she has always liked is Michelle Obama. Over the phone, she read me some passages from Mrs. Obama’s speech as examples. I wrote them down and later included some of the phrasing in the draft that ultimately became the final speech. I did not check Mrs. Obama’s speeches. This was my mistake, and I feel terrible for the chaos I have caused Melania and the Trumps, as well as to Mrs. Obama. No harm was meant. Yesterday, I offered my resignation to Mr. Trump and the Trump family, but they rejected it. Mr. Trump told me that people make innocent mistakes and that we learn and frow from these experiences. ,,,,interesting,,,,when are we gonna start hearing Trump admitting to his wonderful 'innocent' mistakes? and is Mrs Trump going to say more in public about how she admires Mrs Obama? Trump is working on the spin it as I type no doubt,,,,, |

I think people are petty to 'worry' about either one
I think people should focus on a persons accomplishments and qualifications , like any other job position but we want to hang up on petty gossip and trivial things and finding people to demonize and hate |

Also, Clinton's critics are pointing to her "accomplishments" in their criticisms. |

She also exposed those state secrets to hacking, which the FBI couldn't confirm whether it was or wasn't hacked. What IS known is that people who sent and received emails with Hillary were hacked. The email wasn't "trivial" because of what the emails contained. |

yes, but it wasn't unprecedented or illegal so, moving on,, As someone who was in the military and handled sensitive material, she did WAS illegal, and if I did the same thing I'd be in jail...or the brig. also before you say the "well nocharges were brought" so she didn't 'actually' do anything bad....the justice system said so. .. well Zimmerman was aquitted so he didn't actually do anything bad. ....the justice system said so.... |
