When I see "I'll tell you later", I always think, why not tell me now? It does not take a lot of effort to reveal at least a couple of interests on your profile.

I think some people want u to show some interest in them by asking those questions. Others are plain lazy. Some think they are being mysterious.

I think KieMea is right. Then there are some men/women that think they don't have to do anything.

Wow, wasn't expecting this much response, but communication and expressing yourself is a good thing, RIGHT! The more general information a person provides allows the viewer to be better informed and at least in my case, entices my curiosity. Imagine going to a book store and there are 1,000's of books. Many have great pictures on the cover, a little description of what the book is about, etc. Then there are a bunch of books with a catchy picture, but the same title, and nothing to tell you what the book is about.

Which ones would perk your curiosity and would you think, would most likely purchase. Information is power, the power to make an informed decision, the power of choice, and so on.

I think this post best expresses where I am coming from and why, think it's a turn off.

I see, "I'll tell ya later" or "ask me".....means I'm really just looking to see what was on here and see if someone or something entices me the 1st day, and if not, they'll just leave the profile to be another dead profile for people to have to look at to skip. what that's what it means to me.

My take on "I'll tell you later"
The person must hsve a few dating profiles on several different sites out there. These sites are asking the same type of questions. He/she, so far, must not having good luck for being through on answering them for the other sites; therefore, doesn't feel the immediate need to complete the questionnaire again.

I agree with you that what perks one's curiosity is information. Most often it is indeed enticing , but sometimes curiosity doesn't give us satisfaction when you find out that the content of the book is not what you expected. People can be deceiving.....some information's can be faked..... others put up a good cover, is it really what it seemed to be? A good packaging doesn't always show a quality product inside......wrong labeling.....a marketing strategy to entice consumers to buy.

"I'll tell you later" could also mean ...if you are interested and curious ...get to know me....then someone takes a step knowing that person to satisfy his or her curiosity. Some people might think it gives them a mysterious or dramatic effect if they put that tagline.what think slaphead ohwell laugh laugh laugh

If they can't be bothered to fill out their profile why are they here? I'm sorry, but I don't communicate with someone who can't be bothered to put together at least one paragraph.

I'll tell you later = Very boring person who doesn't even have the words to describe what the hell they're doing on this site. PASS

It comes across as lazy to me or lacking the art of conversation as someone said earlier. It's definitely a turn off for me ohwell

Well, since it is a default I should have used this when I first wrote a profile on here. It sucked big time. laugh

If some one has more than one site, and doesn't feel the need to fill it out, again... it still show laziness. If you feel that way, why are you even bothering? Hit the closing bell at the bar babe.

Could also be some one testing the waters....before the big split...yanno, looking for greener grass, before deciding not to water the home patch, any longer...
