Thanks, Book.
I need to change the subject. Book, what kind of things do you like to read? Favorite author? |
|
|
|
It was BEAUTIFUL here today, sunny, warm, nice breeze... how was it by you
|

I like to read... EVERYTHING.
Except hard-core sci-fi and fantasy. I don't "get" it.... and I don't like romance. Fave authors: Denis Covington, Carl Weber, Jackie Collins (although her last 2 sucked). Love to read trivia and science. |

It was sunny, nice blue sky this afternoon. Rainy this morning though. They did say we could have some snow on Friday? Did you get snow yet? I'm sorry Mommy, I don't know what part of the country you're in. I'm in Pa.

Sorry for the delay, Book, I was googling two of the authors you listed to see if there was anything I was familiar with. I don't know Dennis Covington and Carl Weber.

Do you get a lot of snow? We get maybe 4 ft. throughout the winter. ( Some years less.)

we got alot of snow in April this year, dumped 17 inches in one night.. I have a pic of my dog stuck in a snow drift on my profile. Sometime we get a lot other times we don't only lived out here for 4 yrs, was up in Chicago most of my life, and there we got lots of snow all the time.

I'm south of Pittsburgh. It's been a long time since we had 22 inches of snow in one storm. A big storm may bring 10 inches of snow. Do you get lake effect snow?

Hi Mark, I missed you before.
Mommy, I just looked at your profile and saw the snow picture! It's probably been about 10 years since we had snow like that! |

Summer, one of my all-time favorite books is "Salvation on Sand Mountain" by Covington. Covington was a journalist who was hired to write a story about a snake-handling church in the Appalachian Mountain areas. The first part of the book moves slow but once you get maybe 40 pages into it, you can't put it down!!!!
My fave Carl Weber book is "So You Call Yourself a Man". I won't tell you why, except that you have to read it. Also try "Oh, My Stars" by Lorna Landvik. |
