Jump to Sightings in eastern US - Several populations still exist and are thriving in the Western United States as well as Western Canada, but the North American cougar was once commonly found in eastern portions of the United States. It was believed to be extirpated there in the early 1900s.

soufiehere is a cougar and she has proudly admitted it! She attended BYU (Brigham young university) and their mascot is a cougar....

So technically yes there are Cougars here. But not necessarily the kind you are looking for...

An older woman, looking for a younger man, for physical pleasure.

Well we all like to put a label on things and I have no idea how this was defined as a cougar.

No offense meant deanow1998. We all live and learn.

"Cougar" does not immediately bring to mind anything beyond a voracious sexual appetite. Women at all ages are 99% more than that. We feel minimized by that label.
The young men or "cubbies" don't have the same response. They seem to enjoy the role and name.

I have a lot of young friends. Age is only one aspect of a relationship.
Sorry to snap on you like a pride of lionesses. :(

Valeris...do you remember the Big Boy balloons with the little cardboard shoes to allow it to stand upright without helium? I was so intrigued by that. Low tech--high tech for the sixties. Thanks for the brain jog.
