Can anyone tell me what happend to cartoons over the years?
I have had to work saturdays for a very long time and One day I figured I would get up one saturday on a day off and watch them Like I used to.
I got up at 6am got a big bowl of imature ohs...lol and turned the tv on .
I saw CRAP!
I flipped through hopelessly every local channel I could in vain, I sat through hours of crappy shows hoping to see one good new show but no luck.
What did they do to my beloved Looney tunes? superheroes? crappy ones, no fall down with an anvil! no cartoon violence or anything!
Scooby Doo? CRAP!
Ninja Turtles? in the future? WTF!
what's this Horse show?
Troll dolls come to life?
Justice league and batman were ok at best but the new batman still cannot compare to batman the animated series in any way, I like anime but it doesn't fit the batman style.
Justice league was ok too but nothing to crow at.
there was so many crappy shows on that I don't dare ever get up early again on my day off EVER!!!
I'll be happy to work whatever saturdays they want because there is no longer anything to get up for on a saturday morning.

Cartoons have gotten pretty bad and Saturday morning cartoons arent what they used to be . :(

I also miss TGIF ...

They dont make stuff for kids like they did when I was young . I see less imagination and everything is so politically correct or so incorrect you cant watch them .

Hell, what happened to the ANIMATION????????????????????????????

Cartoons of yesteryear(Bugs Bunny,ect.)were very well crafted and drawn.

Today's cartoons(check out Cartoon Network)look like they were drawn by a five year old---a five year old with NO TALENT for art!

This is what I am saying, Makes me sad that there are so much crap out there it looks hopeless for the next generation.
Are these new shows going to be called nastagia in the future when the kids grow up??
I hope not!
Makes me want to get into animation to bring back good writing and animation, as a matter of fact I did have a show that a friend were putting together but he got busy with school {He actually does animation} and I wrote a great script but it's kind of weighlayed right now but I'm hopeing that some day we can get it out there. *Sigh**Sigh* maybe one day huh?

Oh I know they're there but I'm just sad that local stuff is crap, I can find some good stuff on sat dish but I'm sad for those poor {I mean lack of money} kids who have to grow up with it.
I was lucky as a kid that we had good cartoons, I didn't have cable growing up because We couldn't afford it, The only reason I know about nick shows is because when I went over to my grandma's house she had cable so I was lucky there.
I know most everyone now days have cable or sat but there are still kids who will have to watch that drek and think it's all good.
I know it's all informercials for toys and that kind of makes me mad because what is the future going to be like when they start beaming tv right into our grandkids cyber brains? J/K
