Oh, it could work.....why not? If you feel connected with that person, then the times you get together will be compounded joy......but also sadness when you part. Better joy, but worse pain.....always a trade-off....blah blah, yea this thing called life.
However, communication is getting better, so eventually you'll be able to spend time together as virtual holograms.....hopefully they'll have the haptic feedback systems working as well. lol
