1) The Blues Brothers - amazing soundtrack, lousy storyline, but funny as hell. 2) Casablanca - Sublime acting, and its "a fight for love and glory, a tale of do or die" 3) Walt Disney's The Jungle Book ... another amazing soundtrack.

The Departed (I know, it's pretty new, but it's bound for greatness) I'll second 'Casablanca' (classic, 50+ years old, still better than about 90% of anything made since) Fight Club (Grisly, appeals automatically to any guy who's not a complete pansy...) -BTW, gotta question choosing "Jungle Book" over "Aladdin"... (if you gotta have a Disney flick on your list)

ah..theres so many though =S 1. The Butterfly Effect - I loved the storyline. Really originial and kept me interested. 2. Memoirs of a Geisha - I love the culture, so I'm just drawn to it. 3. What About Bob - haha funny movie. Really, this was difficult choosing only three.
