Sounds like a sort of made up problem. One of those "if you go looking, you WILL find whiny people who say crap like this" deals.

I've been hearing this exact same story since I was a very little kid. It gave me hope when I was six, that I might eventually find school to be a lot easier, but of course, nothing ever came of it.

There's ALWAYS a group of people who decide to protest this or that, and who an outraged media-type decides to spotlight, because they know it will rile the rest of us up.

It's the leading cause of a seemingly endless repetition of the classic old codger rant that goes "the kids today are a bunch of wimps!"

So for the past 2-3 years, colleges & the media have been exaggerating or lying ... just to make new minority Progressives, look like whiney brats.

There is NO real equally, (in all things, for everyone), nor should there be. That never was & will NEVER be the REAL world. And these ADULTS need to put their big boy pants on.
And face consequences.

If they want to feel equal, they can run home to mama & hear her say,
" I love ALL you kids the same "

the problems start with "participation" trophies... nobody has to try, just have to show up...

Yep, late 1980's or early 1990's.
I guess we (or our whole generation), said. WTF!?

there are always those extreme views, those everything or nothing activists,,,

I don't know when we became a nation beyond looking to the examples of others to learn from

there are examples of educational systems that are working in this world, I'm sure

I doubt they eliminated the ability to document progress(grades)

the problem (imo) isn't about grading, it's about whiny, spoiled kids that haven't been taught that hard work gets them further in life than sitting down and crying about things...

there are plenty of problems,, a comprehensive look should be taken at approaches that actually work to address how children learn best and implement practices that include those outcomes

theres checks and balances, or should be

no abuse of authority, but reasonable expectation and compensation,,

people shouldn't feel emotionally or financially blackmailed into accepting abuse by authority

but , quality education , makes for better policy and better workers

so you never heard of workplace harassment, or workplace discrimination,,

and just think employers should have no standards they should follow

and any standards they don't follow the employee should just say thank you sir , may I have some more,,,,

just because a paycheck is involved?

well, to each their own,, I don't believe employers should be excused for anything and everything just because they pay an employee

This is the "everything has to be equal" mentality.

The how hard you work should have nothing to do with the outcome mentality.

It's does nothing but perpetuate laziness if hard work isn't rewarded whether it's in school or the workplace.

I didn't state anything like that, that is a total misstatement in fact

since when does having a checks and balances, and standards for employers, mean that hard work shouldn't be expected?

mixing Apples and Oranges again?
Checks and Balances refers to the Separation of Power in the Government!
Ain't got a thing to do with Private Business!
So,I wonder why you are mentioning them in the same Breath,in the same Sentence!

its called English and its many contexts

checks and balances can refer to any organization, actually

but that's not really significant to the response I gave to the false accusation of what I posted

Even better idea, just eliminate college. They can keep the all the debt, have little liberal get togethers, indoctrinate each other and still remain the perfect little slaves (citizens) without all that stress.
