To the edge, I’ve been
With those I’ve known.
Never leaping,
Never shown.
The ecstasy some talk about.
That’s never attained,
So, I’ve done without.

Don’t get me wrong,
I had a large time.
Just never experienced
What could be termed, “a blown mind“.

In books I’ve read, they lose control.
Wrong partners, I guess,
They never touched my soul.

Haven’t found in life,
Someone I fully trust,
Prerequisite, I’m thinking’
Yeah, that is a must.

So alone I’ll walk,
This path I’m on.
Alone I’ll wander,
Hither and yon.

Faithfully knowing deep down within,
I’ll meet you someday
And our dance will begin.
