My mom called me and told me we were having Thanksgiving at her house this year. She gave me a choice of what to bring, dessert or veggies. I chose to make and bring pies. pumpkin, pecan, and homemade chocolate cream pie. Besides that we are having the traditional turkey, dressing, gravy and all the fixings.

If my daughter brings the grandkids up, will have turkey and the trimmings, and she likes ham too, mashed potatoes and gravy, she likes the greanbean casserole and the grandkids do too, black olives (so the kids can put them on their fingers and play with them before they eat them), cranberry sauce, of course, rolls, green salad, sweet potatoes with marshmallows, either pie or strawberry shortcake as I have the berries frozen in the freezer and would be a nice change for dessert.

And leftovers for a week, sandwiches, turkey noodle soup, and the rest. Yum.

All depends on if I'm working or not. I generally cook for a HUGE amount of people with loads of left overs....

turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, I love fresh brussel sprouts, squash, yams, fresh cranberry sauce, probably corn or broccoli.

Then comes the desserts...a few home made pies...

GOD...now I'm hungry

New here...

Family and friends requested me to cook prime rib and other side dishes last year. It went well with a couple of 12yr old wines too. This year maybe a pot luck at a friends. I'm not sure if they'll have a request, but probably it will be up to me.
