Life is busy, we all got stuff to do..
I have lots of acquaintances - male & female, varied social circles, and a couple closer friends.
As I am the one who wants to be out and about doing things, this makes me the planner ... so I seem to be the one calling them 'do you want to do this'..
Most of the time, I just do things by myself - its just easier that way - less stressful..
And, I like my company, so there.flowerforyou

Seems that it is more me that makes the plans with friends, makes the call or text. I also sometimes say, "self" we're doing our own thing today.

When there is something I want to do I tend to plan it all out... But most of the time it is just me going or doing it.. Unless friends and family call for get together's with several then I'm the follower~~

As was said I tend to enjoy my time with me I have no problem going places by my self.. But do enjoy doing things with family and friends as well..

I actually enjoy my "ME" time and a lot of things I like to do alone.

Shopping is not one of my favourite things to do and some of my friends highlights is to shop.. I will usually try to find away out of that.

I do socialize with friends quite a bit and that is a mutual thing. I guess it depends on what the function is. I have such a diverse set of friends that we are all into different things for example. I am a art and history buff, so I usually know when a new art exhibit or museum thing is going to happen so I will call around to my friends that are interested in it and organize that thing..

I have another friend that is up on all the bluegrass music festivals here and he will call around to let us all know what is happening there.

So I guess in all it is a mutual thing among friends to do and again I actually like my quiet time down time alone.

I literally hate shopping~~~ When I do go I go for specif things get it and get the heck out.. Not one to do much shopping online either I like to see what I'm buying in person..

My daughter loves to shop I will offer to watch the kids if she wants to go for she knows asking me is out of the question.. I use to give her money around Christmas when she was living at home to buy my sons stuff cause they are two years apart and close so she knew what styles he likes and sizes:laughing:

None of my friends or family every ask me to go shopping with them. They all know that the Malls are not for me I have no use to walk around looking at stuff just to be looking.. noway

Actually I have spent more time at HomeDepot lately then I have at a mall in the last 5 yearsbigsmile

You actually made me think here Rustykitty.

I didnt realise it , but my friends and family are in the habit of calling me up to hang out.

Sometimes I help by getting information about the place or activity or making the booking, but I am seldom the head organiser of anything.

Anything outside of my loved ones' invitations, I'm usually happy to plan it and do it by myself.

It's not normally me, because I thought I was bad it...

recently it's been me, but in a different way...I used to call and try to 'ironnout details' and it never seemed to pan out...now I just plan what I want to do and invite people to join me.

example me and my cousins are going hiking tomorrow, we've tried to plan it for the last 3 weeks...never worked.

this time I just told them im going hiking at 11am Sunday, and if they want to join come by my place at 10am...seems to work better lol

I see that I am not alone in this category
As I sat at a table at a bar one Saturday late afternoon, listening to a blues & rock'n roll jam session and having a beer, this guy I was talking to says to me, "you've got balls"... (I wanted to say, 'yea, they're on my chest'), but I didn't..
I know people must look at me and wonder or think about what am I doing there all alone??? sitting at a table in my 'regular' bar, and playing a couple games of pool by myself (my preferance, as I get all the shots). Sometimes, sitting by the window, reading and having a beer or glass of wine..
well, I am 60 and don't give a rats azz what they think.. I am out for me and my entertainment and the act of being out alone is no longer scary.
