From their perspective.
You are on the internet.
You are not a guy or you have something they want.
You don't make real efforts to keep them from contacting you.
They're going to contact you.


The internet is a personal experience.
To each and every one of them as an individual you are on their internet.
To you they are on your internet making it more difficult for you to do what you want to do, control who you want to interact with.
Just because you are using your phone, or your computer, and maybe you're alone in your house staring at a screen, it's no different than stepping into a giant business out in public full of people.

Going on the internet is little different than using a public bathroom.
You may want to leave the doors open and talk to your friends standing outside but it just doesn't work that way.
Either shut the door, or realize people are going to be peeking at you and you can't control who.
At best you can make some stop by being mean but that doesn't keep new ones from coming by.
