I know the story of the fight for survival in Fort McMurray during the "beast" of a fire has been read and read, but just having been there for the last 9 days as a fighter, I cannot express my sorrow enough for the loss of so much from the people of that town. I have seen sights while trying to save homes that I will never forget and probably will have nightmare about and it has brought me closer to God and for an average religious person that is something. Best wishes to all that have suffered and lost.

Welcome home...flowers
It is horrible enough to see on the internet. I can't imagine being there
Glad you are safe and sound..

And from what I can find it is still out of control

When do you go back?

Thank you, it is good to be back. Yes, the fire is still burning out of control but away from the town into bush country.waving

 Will not be going back as I was on the line trying to keep it out of town. Now the big boys that are on the front line will be on it.

Welcome back Wolfman! Good work and glad you fought with honor. Question. Why didn't the Canadian gov ask USGOV for help like water bombers or stuff? Not criticising, just curious. Glad your bak safe!

It is so sad when there are such large fires and it takes out so many lives and everything that many have...

I have the highest respect for Firemen... they put their lives on the line on a daily bases and see so much disaster it has to be heart wrenching when all they do and those they can not save..

I might be a bit bias due to my son in law, nephew and a cousin along with other family members that are or were Firemen....

Glad your home safe just know you did all you could... And that many appreciate what you do.

Prayers for all involved ~~~~
