When I was young, my parents were married 11 times
between them, so I went to 4 different high schools. Everything I had was stolen in 2008 (and I mean, EVERYthing) so I lost all my yearbooks, too. When my graduating class had their 40th reunion, a group of them took all the photos from all 4 years of high school (for our class) put it together as a yearbook, and presented it to me. I still cry every time I think about it :-) |

** Scooped a baby off a two lane hwy. * A one year old (+-) had left, the house faced the highway. The child was in the middle of the highway. Auto reaction kicked-in, a small skid and I blocked the road. Grabbed the baby and walked to the house, about 100 paces. When I called into the house the mom came and totally lost control of herself, collapsing while holding the baby. (All was good.) * The hwy. was a bit jammed around me, and I drove-off. ** Jeez, that was an old memory... 20 plus years ago. * everybody does stuff, most just forget. |

* I knew of this, but took a minute to find. Bank and private funding 50/50 * "+kushan panapitiya Hi Kushan, as a current teller at TD who serves the front line, I can tell you that we try to get personal with our customers in order to understand their needs. I'm guessing those customers that you saw on screen were regular customers to those branches. No we do not write down information to remind ourselves who those customers are, in fact, we actually take the time and initiative to build a trusting relationship and show our customers that we care. By learning about our customers lives and what a journey they have been through, we are able to thank them and give back in a way they can never imagine! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bUkN7g_bEAI * enjoy |

What is the nicest thing or things that someone ever did for you or that you observed someone doing for another individual? Hi Peg, the first thing that came to mind was when a lovely young lady gave me her seat on a streetcar recently. She saw me got on the streetcar with two heavy bags full of groceries and without giving it a second thought, got up and offered me her seat. It might have been a small gesture for her but for me, it was huge. Kudos to that young lady |

This remind me of something my mum told me few months back. During World War 2, Japanese attacked Singapore in 1941. My mum was about 3 years old. There were sirens and bombings everywhere. So when a siren was sounded, every one in the villages will go to the mosques, churches and temples to hide. On that fateful day, the siren sounded. My grandparent had 12 kids. On the way , to the mosque, my mum fell in a big dry drain. Both my grandparent did not realized that. My mum said she remembered , nobody saw her as everyone was rushing for safety. She remembered still hearing the siren. She cried and cried. A Malay soldier saw her and brought her to the Mosque. Many years later, my grandfather told her, the bomb fell exactly at the drain she was. Till now, my mum said, if not for the kind soldier, she would had been dead. She tried to find out who is that soldier. But never find out. Our prayers always for the soldiers who fight and died to defend the country. May they rest in peace. |

Had something nice done for me today....I handle all my elderly mothers meds...refills and such. Had to pick up 2 today...a maintenance anti-biotic and an arrhythmia
drug. The insurance wouldn't fill the antibiotic until the doc authorized it (even though he wrote the damn script in the first place...thanks Obama)....and, after some back n forth between the pharmacy and the doc, I was told it would take up to 72 hrs to get the authorization. OK, no biggie... I'll take the other med though...the pharmacist then informed me that...since I had to wait so long, she would void out the cost for the med I would pick up. I said that was great even though it was only $7....and I didn't want her to get in trouble. She says "No worries, Walmart isn't gonna miss the $7 and your a loyal customer". and then held her finger to her lips....shhh..and smiled. Great pharmacist! And she fine too |

We got a call about a woman who was threatening suicide by jumping off one of our buildings at the resort I work at, as I was trying to talk her out of it she ran towards the railing and a police officer who was called earlier ran and jumped over the railing putting his own life in jeopardy and saving the woman's life in the process., very heroic ..
