Here's one I wrote on a whim just by the given title...It was supposed to be song titles that never got a song. Well I took the title and I made a song to go with it...here it is. It's a silly one. The Peach I Picked in Georgia, Didn't Cling to Me Long. The cherry I picked in Washington Was a sweet surprise, The orange in California Was a sight for sore eyes. Something could be said For the watermelon queen, She was far more shapely Than others I have seen. Now they are all beautiful Don't get me wrong, But the peach I picked in Georgia Didn't cling to me long. (Chorus) She was a redneck floozy Sittin in my jacuzzi, Suppin on her bottle of gin, Cusses like a sailor Living in a trailer I don't want her back again. My Mississippi Delta queen Was a gamblers pick, My Ozark baby doll Wasn't quite the hick. My Hawaiian pineapple Was a sweet little tart, She could've been the One that stole my heart. My little buckeye from Ohio Sang a beautiful song, But the peach I picked in Georgia Didn't cling to me long. I'll take all the fruit That follows in suit, But a peach will have to be excused, She won't work a lick, She's just a country hick, I feel like I've been abused. You have done it again....BRAVO....LMAO |
