One more thing.
I bet it's not long and those empty apartments will be filled again

Lookie heeer!
Another self righteous canadian meddling in US affairs.
You are a prt of Great Britain. Great Britain owns India. India uses child slave labor. Your Welfare Wednesday comes off the sweat of their backs.
Go back to your La Batts, watch some hockey and enjoy your welfare check.

I've seen plenty in their desert towns with rundown buildings. Food hanging outside and selling of goods. Handouts. I have been in tourist towns where they are hidden away from the eyes of the tourists.
But, for me sir....that is not the whole point. It is about humanity.
We will differ til the cows come home. I am for offering up freedom to work and live out there life in as much comfort as is possible. I know even though I can hire help, I cannot afford health insurance. I also have to get it where I can get it. It is hard for small business to make it. It is hard for so many to make it. All I ask is for opportunity for all.

About those apartments: They are about 75% Latina. I just looked over there. Man...the windows are bare all over the place.
The apartments two blocks down are almost all white and black. Every night there is something going on over there, Gunshots, stabbing, fights. Every night an ambulance, a fire truck, cops, several cars. Across the street? The 75% Latina.....never any problems. Very good mannered neighbors. We brag all the time how calm and nice they all are. Clean too.
I am afraid of what kind of people that will come there now.

I have a small business also. I do lawn care, handyman and general contracting.
I have had to struggle and compete against Illegals way underbidding.
Since last week, I can now, finally, compete with fair bidding. Now, maybe, I can afford to get out of my 1978 truck and afford something better and a better life for the soon-to-be ex. Even though we are getting divorced, I still help her when i can.
I have tried to hire Resident Immigrants. Their attitude here is, if the oil company won't hire them for $20.00 an hour, they always have the welfare.

About the Canadian? What I said was true. Their empire has known for years that poor Indian families sell their kids to slave labor. Most of them die before the debt is paid off.

about illegal immagrants=they come here for selfish reasons of prosperity. they want to prosper here without obeying our sovernty. they take OUR tax money thru schooling, welfare, healthcare, social programs and others. they have no intention of assimalating into our culture, and take over areas of our land to meet there own needs and uphold thier patronage to mexico. they have achor babies, in hopes a human life itself, will give them the right to stay. pretty selfish bunch these illegals are. alls they have to do is come in the legal way like many others do from all over the world. at least the illegal asian people want to assimalte, but even so, i don't give them a break either. i dont pay my taxes to raise and educate illegal baby jose', wang, adolf, or vito. and i didn't serve in the military so i need to learn a new language.

Good luck with that spur. I mean it, really. I know so well the downfalls of small business. Especially one that is woman run and owned.
I am not in any worry of being out bid or under bid. I am one of the more expensive in my line. But, I am worth it and have no problem getting work.
The work force here will most likely put a hardship on us. I for one do not want anymore work. Anyway....I hope you get out of that old truck. Mine is in the shop for the ump-teenth time in a few months.

If they are born here to two illegal parents they should be treated as illegal as well.

If the parents leave them here and they are under 18, the parents should be charged with abandonment and the children placed in foster homes!

It would happen to American parents and it should happen to them! There is no excuse for leaving the children here.

If someone feels so strongly for them being deported they can always go with them!! I have no pity for the criminals, and they have no loyalties!!drinker

Spur A: Get a history lesson. Canada is not part of Great Britain. We are part of the Commonwealth. Two separate entities. We have been independant from Great Britain since 1867. Given to us by peaceful means through the British North America Act. We also have our own Constitution.
B: I do not have a welfare check. I work as a security officer.

C: I'm part American. My grandfather was from Champlain New York.

D: The day American politics and policies stop affecting the rest of the world, in particular Canada then I may think of keeping my opinion to myself.

E: LaBatt's tastes like grunge water. I prefer Guiness or Lowenbrau.

Adj4u: A line from a poem, “The New Colossus,” by the nineteenth-century American poet Emma Lazarus. “The New Colossus,” describing the Statue of Liberty, appears on a plaque at the base of the statue. It ends with the statue herself speaking: 1
Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed, to me:
I lift my lamp beside the golden door.

Written by an American. The statue itself is a gift from France.

Canadian Immigration Process
Print E-mail
You have concerns about the Canadian Immigration process.
Under the Skilled Worker/Professional category of Canadian Immigration, there are a number of steps, which lead to the issuance of a Canada Immigration (Permanent Resident) Visa. There are issues and complexities that accompany each step.

The Canadian Immigration process differs depending upon the Canadian Immigration Visa Office to which your application is submitted.
---------------------------

Unfortunately, the application process for Netherlands work permits often means that candidates can not even visit the Netherlands to attend meetings while the Netherlands work permit application is being processed, unless they are non-visa nationals.
---------------------
The French authorities have traditionally been very protective of their domestic labour force, and put many bureaucratic obstacles in the way of companies wishing to recruit foreign workers. Their attitude is changing due to an acute shortage of IT professionals which is affecting the performance of many French companies.
--------------------
To work legally in Mexico, you must obtain permission from Immigration and have the permit attached to your FM-3 or FM-2 document.

Veterinarian care and pet grooming are readily available, excellent and modestly priced.

Ok, let me make it extremely clear to you. My family has fought in almost every war this country has gotten into. I have seen fatherless and motherless children of soldiers who fight so these people can come here and break my laws. I have no pity for them what so ever, so dont come crying to me. There are famlies broken by the sacrifce of a soldier everywhere but you dont hear them whining. So drop the bs crap for the illegal invding criminals. If you need to bleed for someone feel for the ones who have scarifed their lives in the name of freedom. These people dont deserve any pity. If they wanna impress me get their worthless butts over to a war zone. Otherwise LEAVE MY COUNTRY! OH YEAH GOD BLESS MY COUNTRY AND IT"S LEGAL CITIZENS!

does that make it policy

Waaaaa waaaaaa change my diaper. All I see is talk but no action. Don't wanna hear it. Too easy to sit behind a screen and whine. What part of illegal don't you understand? Get an unbiased education. Wait till you take your child to a hospital but its closed because the illegals closed it by not paying their bill. Just wait. Oh that's not fair? Wake up! Its happening every day!

biker a lot of those complaining are living in countries with

immigration laws as strict or

even stricter than the united states

wonder how it would change if they were getting millions of illegals in their country

not many are saying don't let anyone in

just that they need to do it through prober channels

i guess it is ok for their country but not for this one

Wrong Adj4u. Most developed countries have a problem dealing with illegals. The problem is the rabis manner in which some would chose to get rid of them. As I pointed out before the economic repercussions would be staggering. You would lose a large part of the workforce. Many of them do jobs that good upstanding citizens don't want to do. If indeed you could round them all up, load them onto some form of transport and get them out country your economy would be shot.
Giving the jobs to citizens with better wages. Sure no problem. That means that production costs just went up so this cost is carried over to the consumer (that's you). From agricultural goods , manufactured goods and housing all prices have just gone up. That decent wage paid to the new citizen worker just isn't that decent anymore so he wants more. Production cost climbs and so on.
Starting to understand now?
