A couple that I'm good friends with are bikers. The guy has shaved head, earrings, lots of tats, etc. We live in a small, conservative type town. Funny thing is that these guys are the pillars of the community. She works for the PD & he has coached almost every sport forever. They've raised 2 great kids....high honors, scholarships, etc. They're 2 of the best people you could ever meet, but some people would never get beyond the 'look'. When I was a kid & I'd be down about someone not liking me,my mom used to say 'It's their loss, baby' & it's the truth. If you judge someone by their looks, or some other superficial variable, it's your loss.

This makes me sad cause I saw it happen a lot. It is why I no longer ride. I want to be there when my little girl graduates... gets married.... has kids.

Hey, that's cool. I don't ride anymore but like someone once said to me, if you're a biker, you're a biker for life.

Got to admit that the guys that I rode with were of the Mad Max variety but we weren't trouble makers and just liked to have a laugh and freak people out a bit. Sure, there are bike gangs that can be mean motherf**kers that you wouldn't want to mess with but you get all sorts from Christian bike clubs to posers on shiney shite Harleys. It's only the guys that ride Harleys here that don't wave or give the nod to other bikers. Some of the guys on race replicas can be like that as well.

Down with Volvo drivers anyway. They are the ones that you have to watch out for.
