I think it was Daryl that got killed off. According to the creator, the character that died was "very beloved". Glenn is scripted to die in the comic. Season finale based on the comic strip? I dont think so. Rick and Carl were not the target. That leaves Daryl. Because all the other characters do not carry that "beloved" title.
