not at all

privilege conjures up guilt for some who project it as something to feel guilt about

for those who just seek to aknowledge it,, it just as often can conjure up empathy and consideration of things bigger than themselves

for instance , I have no disabilities, which gives me certain natural advantages in life over those with them
I don't feel any guilt about that , I just recognize it as reality

and recognizing it causes me to recognize the uniquely different steps disabled may have to do to perform the same tasks I regularly take for granted

in fact working with the disabled, I was offered similar workshops to learn about their struggles,,,

I can climb into and out of just about every vehicle with ease, and without any special efforts to assist me

I can park as far away as needed and take for granted walking to my location with relative ease and non obstruction

etc,,etc,,

these are advantages that come as a natural result of physical condition

there are also advantages that come as a result of systematic conditions

no doubt, some see that as some invitation to feel 'guilt',,and that's too bad

but I see it as facing realities so that we can understand the struggles of others and learn to appreciate the blessings of our own by compariso

Blah blah blah...
People, communities, need to work for it, earn it, except consequences, shut the hell up & get on with their lives. Like everyone else & every other group.

Change begins within.
Trying to change other people or manipulate them (in any way) is dysfunctional will only p*** them off. It is self defeating.

only narcissists

sane people welcome improvement,, which cant happen with out change'

narcissists believe they cant possibly improve anything

the people who accept change, and improvement, have no issue working with others trying to do the same

I agree so the universities should design a class for a black audience teaching them the what is an isn't racism.

I.E someone saying I prefer to date white women isn't racist....it's preference

someone saying why yes your qualified for this job, but I don't hire bacl people...is racist.

A university course designed around teaching black people how to feel and how systemical racism is a thing if the past. ...dont worry it won't be mandated. ..so no issues with this typedof a course

lol, I prefer not to serve black folks could be called a 'preference' too

I think its a great idea, teaching what racism is and isn't actually

racism:the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races.

racially based 'preferences' are by definition not racist

however what is often called a preference, but is actually a mandated restriction, is racist,,as it lumps individuals of a large group with certain characteristics that are 'undatable'

or

'unservable'

etc.....

WATCH: SHAMED WHITES SURRENDER THEIR PRIVILEGE AT PORTLAND OREGON COMMUNITY COLLEGE
http://youtu.be/4Rhz_BEjmzg/ 04:35

* I certainly wouldn't of titled the video, with 'shamed', more like 'insane'
Oh man... Is this sh@t going to backfire. Google if you have any doubts about Portland or the state of Oregon, or think this is a new issue, or only in a few states or schools. BTW: PB & J sandwiches are just sandwiches & not racist. Hhhaaa.. very funny Oregon.. To an adult, not to a hungry child  *

The whole concept of 'white privilege' as it is used by most millennials is nothing but a tool to manipulate people.

The people I've known who go on and on about privilege are disgusting. They have the ULTIMATE privilege - being born in a 1st world nation. And then they have another major privilege - being able to access a university education. But they want things to be given to them for free, and they want to have control every one elses speech and thought.

They are not actually interested in empathy or fairness or self improvement.

That's a great definition.

Just to be clear, when I complained about 'people who go on and on about privilege' I did _not_ mean you, or anyone who thinks privilege is worth discussing. There's a different culture out there of SJWs who are in my opinion completely insane.

Their insane definition of racism basically makes it impossible for any non-white person to be racist in the US.
