One guy was passing the elephants, he suddenly stopped, confused by the fact that these huge creatures were being held by only a rope tied to their legs. It was obvious that the elephants could, at anytime, break away from the ropes they were tied to but for some reason, they did not. He saw a trainer nearby and asked why these beautiful, magnificent animals just stood there and made no attempt to get away.

"Well", trainer said, "when they are very young and much smaller we use the same size rope to tie them and at the age, its enough to hold them, as they grow up, they are conditioned to believe they cannot break away. they believe the rope can still hold them, so they never try to break free." He was amazed. These animals could at any time break free from their bonds but because they believed they couldn't, they were stuck right where they were. Their powerful and gigantic creature has limited its present abilities by the limitations of its past.

Like the elephants, how many of us go through life holding onto a belief that we cannot do something, simply because we failed at it once before? how many of us refuse to attempt something new and challenging because of our so called MINDSET?

your attempt may fail, but never fail to make an attempt..

SO TRUE.....WE HUMANS IN ORDER TO SURVIVE ONCE WE SEE WHAT WE THINK IS THE

ANSWER TO A LIFE SITUATION WE SAY TO OURSELVES ''OK I GOT'' THATS THE ANSWER,

THEN WE MOVE ON TO THE NEXT SITUATION. NEW INFO COMES UP AND WE SAY TO OURSELVES

''HAY I ALREADY KNOW THE ANSWER''. EARLY MAN HAD TO TO DO THAT TO FACE ALL THE

DANGERS IN LIFE BACK THEN.....THE MENTAL HEALTH FIELD HAS ALWAYS TRIED TO GET

PEOPLE TO UPDATE THE NOISES IN THERE HEADS....

There are a few sayings referencing coins. Among the most common, are the ones about them having two sides.

Lots of what seems to be wisdom or good advice (or bad) can be like them as well.

The idea of rejecting "mindsets" in order to open oneself to achieving more, has the potential to show a second "side" as well.

I suggest the addition of a side note, to be sure to reject or question "mindsets" carefully. Don't blindly overturn them. Not a few people have ended up busted up at the bottom of a ravine, after joyfully declaring that silly childish rules don't hold them back from risking all, and leaping for the brass ring.

I like the storyline.... Allow my addendum. To do or not to do is the question. Just because the limits are set it should not make us blind to the possibilities surrounding the limits. The jumbos only needed a little effort to their freedom. Stretch the limits, there is always a leeway for the smart ones. Neither complacency nor Extremism is the mark. The success story lies in the leeway or free will.... to do or not to do.

Some people are just not totally aware of their great potential. They are so tied up with their past or used to or contented to the life they have lived before, some might even be afraid and they have conditioned their minds already that they can't do anything at all.

We all have the ability and the capacity to think ; the decisions that we make in our lives are up to us. We have the free will to know where to go, how to get there, how long to stay, and where to go next; what to do, how to do it, how long to stay doing it and what to do next? We have to learn to face the challenges in our lives, be willing to learn , be open, courageous and adventurous in doing the things that we desire. Don't limit ourselves to the things that we thought we can't do but rather have the drive to do anything to achieve something. Don't let one failure stop you....for behind success are series of failures. DON'T STOP TRYING......JUST DO IT. BELIEVE YOU CAN DO IT!:)

Abraham Lincoln said it does matter how many times once falls but how many times risen. knowledge is power .it doesn't matter how much you know it but keep on updating .sometimes being curious in life helps in alleviating some doubt of oneself.

There is power in the tongue .say it ,it is done. Don't limit your greatness out of unknown .Just risk it!!!!!

Perhaps another way to think of this, is to be aware that many limits and barriers in life ARE entirely artificial, constructed by ourselves or others, rather than being unchangeable and impervious natural things.

That means that we should INVESTIGATE the barriers holding us back, and try to make a rational decision about whether to take them down or not.

It is the AWARENESS that they are artificial which is the most important first step. Then realizing further that like "bridge unsafe" might mean it really IS a bad idea to keep driving that way, even though the sign itself is just something some other guy stuck on a post near the road.
