Which is really great news. I have a surgeon that I trust. He is an avid motorcyclist. He is also a great classical guitarist. Because I'm in for some technical risky surgery. It will be all day long. They basically need to remove my right hand at the wrist. Then they need to remove my complete bone out of my thumb from tip to wrist. And then cut that bone open. Then fill it full of bone marrow from the funny bone on the back side of your wrist. Then replace my wrist with a new one of plastic and steel. Then put in a stainless steel hubcap plate and stainless screws. Then carefully put it together, drug me heavily, and send me home to family to be monitored for 24 hours in case of shock or bleeding. Sounds fun!

I already went through the battery of blood tests, ekgs (14 needles) and carpal tunnel tests before they can put me in surgery. The tests alone cost me $2700 dollars. Just write the check. My cost on the surgery? $7500. Total cost? For everything? $41000. Wow!

don't you have insurance LongHair -- I know I don't. My surgery in cost November cost $2,000; my surgery in August cost $1200 and the surgery I'm having next week will cost $1,800 -- all for the same thing and all out of pocket

Don't mean to scare anyone. Life is life. Gotta get it done. They want me awake for all this. I really don't want to look down and see my right hand missing. But I'd like to video the procedure. My doctors and surgeons have been more than helpful.

LongHair: I don't know if I'm gonna be alright or not; this will be #3 and I'm still dealing with alot of pain (and I don't take any pain killers). See I'm also diabetic and this disease has affected the bone in my jaw. So this is surgery #3 to see if we can correct the damage.
