Been speaking to a guy we got on really well I thought he was different then I saw a few red flags appearing but I thought maybe it's me because I have been lied to online many times then boom that horrible question appeared from him and that's it. I worry because this keeps happening will I ever trust online again. I don't want them to beat me but it does get frustrating and hurtful x It's happened to me, best to try and not to become too involved too soon. Until you have met them in real life it's better to keep it friendly but at a distance, as you would with a coworker, and arrange to meet up as soon as possible if you feel comfortable with meeting them. If they live very far from you then it means a lot more chat but scammers soon request money so not too much time wasted. This is just my opinion. Welcome to Mingle2 and good luck in your search. Yeah...Scammers couldn't wait that long to hold on to that cold cash and they have a timetable to beat too coz there are lots more waiting to be victimized by these ***holes....Lolzzz...

Smiley, I can tell it bugs you. You should get to know the person over a long period of time. Don't be in a rush, take your time. Join the forums. You'll see and know who's real. Hope you feel better. Ciao. Hmmmm....It means I should be here always...lolzzz.....Meeting the person is the best thing to do, coz by then you will know if you have that spark or not, forums are for laughter and information but not an assurance that that person is real and truthful of his intentions until you spend actual time with each other...just my two cents

Thanks guys I'm over my latest of many scams and moved on I will not let them defeat me I just have those moments of feeling sorry for myself but I'm better and stronger than that xx

I just don't understand why someone would get into a situation where they would deliberately hurt someone else!!??? I was about to say that 'old school' is the best but I would imagine that this could be misunderstood, given that the past was not necessarily better.
By 'old school' I mean that a man MUST show utmost respect to a woman. This include behaving in the 'traditional' role...do not take money from the woman, treat her as she is the only other person existing in the world, protect her and show her just how much she means to him. I apologise if this cones across as 'the weak female needing to be rescued by the strong male', but honestly this is not what I meant. |

Thank your lucky stars that you found out before you gave him anything. The sad part is that no doubt he will be onto his next potential victim, she might not be so lucky. Take heart in the fact that the good people in the world far outweigh the bad and never lose faith in the human race, or you simply become a casualty of the vermin out there. good luck |

I have been on the dating sites since 2004 and as the yrs have gone on ive spoken to lots of women,there are more men around now who are married or who have partners etc who like to mess women about on the dating sites plus more and more scammers.yesd there are good guys about but it takes time in getting to know someone as some men wont hang around chatting if they feel there getting nowhere with the woman,its money etc or the bed im afraid with these idiots.good luck to you tho.
