Umm...no. Sorry, but I wil probably get a lot of negative replies to this post, but I think the American mindset is too materialistic. The whole immediate gratification/entitlement thing also doesn't sit well with me. Don't get me wrong. I think we've got the best standards of living and the best opportunities here, but there's also something to be said for the altruistic viewpoint that many other countries have. My two cents!

Mencia was very fresh and funny his first season, I watched a couple episodes of the second season and didn't even crack a smile.

Thank god he doesn't. Damn I hated that show, but his stand up is so funny. Chappelle's show was possibly the best thing comedy central ever put out. Racial humor is great when done well; the Clayton Bigsby sketch is a great example. I never saw anything comparable in Mind of Mencia. I don't think I ever laughed one time at that show, which is amazing seeing how high I used to be all the time.

the only thing hilarious about carlos mencia was the night he got clocked in the face by george lopez one night for stealing material.
ohhh and the night Joe Rogan called him out on stage at a show. that was pretty funny too. LOL |
